noise from steering...maybe abs?

    I have a question people, this morning it was icy in the parkign lot at work
    so i hit the brake gentle to stop and all the sudden my steering make this weird low-tone shaking noise.

    is it the ABS?

    Some stuff. Not a lot, just some.
    Yes that is the ABS and is perfectly normal. The shaking noise is actually the ABS rapidly pump the brake cylinders. The vibration/shaking gets transfered to the steering wheel.

    I notice it when i slip, once i was slipping and trying to do 4x4 and did the same thing... as long its the ABS than good, I dont want to worry on something big...
