The workings are very close to how the oil filter drain in the Tacoma works.

You sound just like the Deutsch that designed it, that is the over thinking that is. Have had mine for several years now, no problems and no reason to remove it. Never had any problems removing the cap, I believe they have somewhere a cap that safety wires on for racetrack use. They do request a lower torque value installing it - 19lbft IIRC. I have two vehicles with it in use.

    Hey gents.

I just had an issue with Dimple. Ordered parts from them over a month ago and have not received a thing. No tracking number or confirmation email other than the paypal email. I attempted to communicate with Dimple using email, call and text and got nothing.

Anybody know if the company went down? Its strange. I ordered a Transfer Case magnet from them years ago and had no issues.

Anyways, paypal already refunded me my money but just thought I would post in case anybody else has some info on dimple.

    Thanks!

I made my own for my Front & Rear Diffs. They have been working perfectly for almost 2 years now.

    Yes, do-able and minimal mess.

Probably too late, I have the full RCI aluminum skids and the fumoto without any nipple and just did my first oil dump (no filter) a few weeks ago….maybe if I had smaller hands it would have been surgical clean but wow super easy.

I also got that motivX kit so it can be done pretty clean.

My only concern is not having the magnet tipped drain plug to catch stuff. Yes the filter does that but there’s always some stuff on the drain plugs.
