OOO Ya know I have never really gone down the rabit hole of motor mods on the triumph twins. No idea they had aftermarket support like that!

A company called Triumph Twin Power actually made this kit a while back, but the owner retired so I thought I missed my chance. Then another guy (Ultimate Twin Performance) kind of took over for him and started getting these kits put together again and just recently re-released them. With the big bore and cams I should be around mid 80s for hp which is a pretty significant jump.

I was close to selling this bike and getting one with the power I want stock, but I couldn’t get myself to part ways with it. So now I’ll be dumping in more money than it’s probably worth .

I was gonna say this...lol. Gixxer would probably be your best bet, but even then i don't think you'll be able to find one that's decently well kept/low miles/not ancient.

If you'll keep it and keep on riding it, it's worth all of it.

In a quick search I found a couple 750 race bikes for cheap, but also super questionable history. Who knows what motor builds they have and how reliable they are. Anything that has had race gas in it could blow at any time.

Def questionable lol. Why is the first guy willing to do a straight trade for an RC390 that's a significantly weaker and cheaper bike?

Second one does seem as questionable, until you see he bought it in 2022 and it's sat ever since...

I did a quick search on offerup in my area, the only nearby options are a couple FZ6R's which I don't think quite qualify as a supersport?

Oh Facebook, there's some very old R6's, and some slightly newer Ninjas. most 30k+ mileage, salvaged, or not running properly.

Everything else at that price point that's decent is a 250-400 or not a sport bike lol. It's also bad timing as the season is picking up for most people now, so prices are going to be increasing.

All my rigs are purpose built. From crawling to camping. I also enjoy a nice stock truck for what that’s worth. Toyota’s are the jam!
Yo Yo! Whats happening.. anyone pick up something new or been on any adventures lately?

I got a message on here from a wheelin buddy, and wanted to check in with you guys and gals :)
I saw I was tagged a few times. Yes, I just decided to jump off as I had to much time on here…plain and simple :)

I have been steady making things happen up here at the house. I did end up getting a new 1290r ADV, and was close to getting a buddies t7.

Hey brutha, that was only coincidental, nothing more. I wish that guy well, even if I don’t necessarily agree with all he said. But then again, maybe I was having a bad day and he was gonna get roasted. Who knows lol

    How you doing?

Fz6 is definitely not a sportbike, it's a sporty introductory bike, but it's basically a detuned old R6 motor. You're also in San Diego where track days are year round and bikes get more use and abuse.
I think he wants a 390 because the race class for that is legit, and a clapped out 17 year old gsxr750 is definitely not more valuable.

Hey buddy, I have been taking folks out and teaching them some off-road skills recently.
They come up, and either bring a bike or use one of mine. We having been doing a lot of bike camping, so I think I am showing people how to light fires with sticks and locate water more than anything lol.

Lots of people who have experience on the road that wanting to get into some offroad.

I really do, I have always been a team leader of sorts. I like getting people out and experiencing lots of new things. Challenging oneself is crucial for self growth.

I tend to bring the best out of people if I am allowed and they are up for it. Backing up accomplishments with laughter and steak is key!

Sounds like a great time. Not sure I'd survive southeast humidity, but if I ever decide to get dirt training I'd have to consider hitting you up. I've though about taking one of Ride Adventure's courses, but I just am not big on the off pavement stuff at the moment. Maybe someday.

Sounds like a plan my man. If you wanna put something down on a calendar, I will meet you for a ride. Also, I ride a lot on the road to, so I can meet you some where as well.

LED switchback signals installed! Much sleeker than the stock signals, albeit the bike came without any front signals so this was a big safety thing either way. Worth the $25 for these on Amazon!

Yay! Glad to hear from you and that life is going well and you are still keeping up with riding!

Your adventures sound fun, entertaining and educational, you are probably coming out of the colder part of winter and have some beautiful riding weather up on you soon!

CB750 has officially been sold. Sold it to a college kid here in town for $2500 and a mountain bike. I hate selling on facebook and taking a few hundred less was worth not having to wait through another couple months of "Hi, is this available?" messages. And he seemed genuinely excited about it, so that's a plus. Has a yz125 and 250 and this is his first street bike. Already kind of sad, but it was time to part ways with the bike. It was at a point where I needed to invest a couple thousand to get it to the next level and I knew I was never going to.

Time to spend some money :D got a 15% off no exclusions harbor freight email today, so I think tomorrow I'll go get myself a 27" 7 drawer chest.

I use to ride with the guy(back in 2000) that designed those Baxley's. Chip was so smart he was a bit strange. Cool as hell guy though.

Not sure how much garage space you have available but I had a Craftsman chest I started out with years back that I think was 26"? I outgrew that so fast it made my head spin. If you can swing it just go right to 42" and be done with it.
