For what its worth, i bought this 285/75/16 tire at a local tire shop for $75 to do some testing, this is on a 16x8 +10 offset wheel, I have a 1 1/2" lift in front i tried many different scenarios, hitting this small hill and all different angles, forward and reverse and never rubbed. This was all low-speed driving in my yard, so if your doing baja at high speed you may rub, lol, but i have decided if i go to a 285 tire i will definitely go with a + offset.

Looking for some advice. Everything I've read on TW suggests that this setup should be fine... but looking for an exact answer.
Running the TRD lift (2" front/1" rear, Toyota 5100's) on 0 offset Method MR305 16x8's. Stock UCA's no CMC.

Wondering if I can fit 285/75's. Assuming the 0 offset should save me from needing to worry about an aftermarket UCA or cutting up the cab mounts.

Got my 285’s mounted today. So much better looking than the 265’s I was running.

This is great! I have 265/75/16 on 16x8 wheels with +10 offset and 3” lift. Been wondering if I went up to 285/75/16 if it would rub anything.

From my testing you should be fine, I couldn't get it to rub anywhere.

Nice! Your truck looks great! What size lift are you running? Did you have to do the cmc?

Those are good specs for optimal clearence but you will want to have some caster added to your alignment to help with the cab mount clearence aswell.

it’s about 2.25” of lift. No cmc did have to do some trimming/ re shaping of inner fender though.

So I’m running 265/75-16” and Fox sus. Off a Pro. Which added a couple more inches.
I see where some of y’all are getting decent mileage, but I’m over here barely getting 16/17 mpg averaging 65mph unloaded?
Yesterday it was really windy NW, steady 25mph with gust up to 40’ I was headed due west into the cross wind around 65mph for almost 40 miles, And almost reached 14mpg.
I’m driving straight Mo farm county, not specifically hilly, but not KS flat either. It will hit 3k when pulling a long grade a few times during the commute! Which is pretty regular, the truck is new w/ 12xxx miles since Nov 2023. As you can see I reached 25.3 mpg once!
    I’ve never hit mpg again!

I'm 50 and I’m super conscious on the gas when I’m trying to justify keeping this thing. My V8 Lexus w/280k is getting the same with full time 4x!
I’d consider a OTT tune if they could give me a money back guarantee it would give me 3mpg’s . I’m currently in the cycle of checking it (mpg) manually again, it checked out the first time I did it when brand new.

i would pull your battery leads and for a few minutes and then hook them back up to reset everything. i had to do this when i had to put a speed calibration inline behind the dash. My smiles to empty always said 277 when full no matter what after that everything started reading correctly now i'm up to 320-350 depending on who i get to draft. lol

I was thinking about doing this anyways since my new TPMS won’t talk to the dash since installing them new? Discount tried 3 times now, the dealer tried the reset but didn’t do the scan tool route yet. They don’t throw a code but there is no reading at all dash or app!

Are those E-Rated tires? As well, return it to 100% stock and watch your MPG's improve.

The K02's are E rated, 17mpg highway seems pretty on par with what I'd expect from 60lb ~33" tires on a taco.

You won't see 3mpg gain from a tune. You might see minimal gain in your real-time mpgs here and there simply because the truck will start to somewhat properly use gears when accelerating, but overall your average isn't really going to budge. The claims from folks saying they saw an increase in mpgs is likely because their driving habits changed, or it's placebo effect from hopeful thinking.

A tune will, however, make it drive better, especially with larger tires. I too am running 265/75R16 (heavy AT4W to be specific) with mostly 70mph highway and I see around 15-16 average, hand calc'd. I expect I'll see 1-2 mpg gain as we transition from winter to summer temps and gas blends. But I've also stopped obsessing over mpgs and don't look at it anymore. It'll just drive you mad.

That looks good! I dig those wheels, I might have to use this to photoshop them onto mine and see how they'd look.

I have the same wheels on my trail edition. Do you rub at all? I've been on the fence about 285s with only about 1.5 of front lift I'm not sure if I will have fit issues.

You should be fine for street driving, not sure about off road if you flex stuff.

I used to run 285/75/16 g003’s on my truck with a 2” front/1” rear lift and there was no rubbing anywhere. That was also with a -10mm offset wheel so yours should fit a little better.

That was only with on-road driving. I only had the g003’s for about a week before I went back to my old 265/75/16 tire so I never had a chance to run the 285’s offroad.
