Sheetz may not be universally recommended, but it was new to find a place open 24/7 that served real food rather than "roller food" in the wee-hours of the night.

I definitely appreciate sheetz for that. Compared to the average gas station, they're far superior. On road trips I would always seek out a sheetz, wawa, or a Loves.

There was one in Houston near us - Ronnie's Superpumper. Was weird. Downstairs was this crazy dirty gas-Hole of a gas station. Bus Depot meets Truck Stop kinda place. Then on the second floor (and I have no idea how he got them there) there was an Auto Museum with about 14 or so classic restored cars up there. Second floor was immaculate.

Then we had a hurricane and when I went by in the days immediately following the whole building was gone and his classic cars were scattered around the field and interstate. Ronnie's Superpumper never came back and I never saw another one until we hit AZ 5 or 6 years later.

We found one near Dallas at 3-something in the morning. We saw breakfast started at 4 so we hung around and got the freshest brisket tacos. Well worth the wait. Don’t do it unless it’s fresh. Otherwise they get soggy and will ruin your day. Also highly suggest the fudge, pralines, and other assorted snacks. I think I usually spend $100+ every time I find myself near one.

I'm still not 100%, bit worried about my lack of armor on Elvis. Looks pretty rocky, don't want to just go out and break a bunch of shit before I get sliders/better skids.
I need to watch a couple more trail run videos on it, see if the bypasses are doable.

Currently taking donations for 1-3/4" tube die for my Woodward fab bender!! I've got an 1-1/2" but sliders will need to be a bit heavier if you want them to be! I'm gonna start stocking a bit of each size to make a few to sell. Send me some measurements and we can work some armor out!

PS i suck at concrete, already pulled my small slab outta the ground on my bender:facepalm:

If you like driving out to Buckeye / Goodyear.
By the time I get there I'm closer to California than home.

Brisket Tacos are a thing in Texas for sure.
Out here we mostly get Mexicali or Sonoran Mexican food.
Texas has TexMex and then a yet to be named fusion of BBQ and Mexican.

Used to be a restaurant called Tin Star that had the best BBQ Mex Fusion stuff. And I'm usually repulsed by the whole "fusion" concept.

And then a whole nuther level in Texas is people that smoke game meat like Venison. Imagine a Deer Brisket (it doesn't look like a beef brisked - much smaller and leaner), back strap, shoulder, etc dry rubbed for three days and then smoked for a few hours- THEN you put it in a taco, burrito, chili, something like that. That's the kind of food people will go to war over.

110% worth it, I didn't even fuck with trying out my bender as manual. I converted it to hydraulic and had it on casters so I could wheel it around as needed.

thats easy enough to push back into place. imagine a chery picker when your trying to fold it up to put it away. takes some pressure put a foot on the base and the right angle will help out with that.

If your curious on how it works and how much pressure and shit prior to buying you can come check mine out. have the same one
