    Been a week, father in law been in hospital, and family just got the bad news of his issues, we got him home last night and family is coming in to visit. Been a staple in my life for the 24 years I’ve been married to his daughter, my father died right after we married , and now almost to the day of his diagnoses we are here. Just had to vent

    Morning all! I heard from the dealer (finally) about my truck, they think the only thing wrong with it is the steering rack. Here's where I'm hoping to get some advice, and guidance, maybe @Tacoma Mike can weigh in. Turns out the rack from Toyota is on national backorder, and they want to put an O'reilly one in. with new lines and the steering shaft universal they quoted $3100! Pricing aside I'm not super enthused about an O'Rielly part put in at the dealer, even though it has a lifetime warranty.

    they said lifetime PARTS warranty. i looked it up, the rack from O'Reilly is anywhere between 6-800$. I know they're a pain to change but man that's a tough pill to swallow for aftermarket parts.
