That’s why I passed. I did talk to the service advisor, he said as long as they are all OEM parts they’d install everything there, now I need to see what progressive will pay for. :annoyed:

Now I’ve welded the sleeve into the wheel, I wonder if I should set it up on the mill and clean it up with a boring head.

Liked to offer support and understanding. Dislike that you have this happening in your life. Share away. If you want to speak privately, start a conversation. My father passed in 2020 and my Mom passed in June of 2023. Happy to listen and offer support and any benefit my experience might offer. The only advice I will offer here: Many people will offer help, accept their offer if it makes sense to you. Often those helping will feel better for having done something.

May be out of round since you welded it, if it needs to be bored, bore away :D

When you're not the one at fault they have to pay to put you back to right, don't settle just because they tell you to that's all they will give you. Years ago, Jake at State Farm tried to give me 2500 for my totaled 16 yo. Ford truck, it was an awesome truck. I had put a lot of extra stuff in that truck, ~6 weeks later we settled for 12500.

The bummer is the other driver had no insurance. So my uninsured motorist coverage is paying the bill (hopefully). I may have just screwed myself by paying for the parts but I guess we’ll see.
It’s a shame about that ford, that was a nice looking truck!

It you have receipts it shouldn't be an issue. You likely saved them some money. The dealer would have charged them more for the parts.

The only problem is if you do aftermarket and something goes wrong they will pay for the part. Not labor. Toyota will pay for both for 12/12

For the rack p/n (44250-04040) shipped to my house after sales tax was $781.11. I ended up also buying outer tie rod ends, the pressure/return lines, and the lower universal assembly as well because the dealer said the lines usually break off because of the amount of rust. Everything was just over $1400 after tax and shipping.

Sales tax is only 5.5%, it’s the other pile of taxes mixed with the lower than you’d think wages that makes it really fun at times!!
