I'm surprised it sold with that bumper on it. No hate but good God.

What's the payload capacity? I assumed that was what you were referring to when you talked about the Taco struggling with more core samples.

That bumper looks nice of the rest of the truck Is armored.

There is one quicksand taco around my neck of the woods that’s totally done out. Got sliders and steel bars all around the truck, rear HC bumper, and that ARB monster front bumper. That truck looks like it’s ready for ww3.

    Kind of like that:

    IMG_1608.jpg

Funny cuz I’ve seen that black truck multiple times in Vancouver area and it’s always clean as a whistle…

Incredibly easy to get around this. There is a reason you see ''For sale, 182 miles'' ad's for bronco's at the dealer. Sell it at MSRP to a select person who sells it back or trades it back [sales tax is now lower on the vehicle it's traded in for.] to the dealer, it's now used and no longer under any MSRP sale price. A few hundred dollars are spent, and the dealer can ask for a 10K over MSRP price because it's now ''used.''

Easy wash and I'm seeing it done all the time. I didn't pull that ''182 miles'' out of my head, it was in a sales ad I saw today at a Ford dealer for a ''used'' Bronco.

@MOJAVEsand if you’re disappointed with the Taco’s capacities, the Bronco’s isn’t much better, towing is only 3500-4500 lbs. payload 1050-1450 lbs.

Stuff you’re hauling and towing, you’ll be happier in a 3/4-1 ton truck.

    Power Wagon, anyone?

Or, since we're supporting remote operations, how about an F-150 powerboost with generator.

More importantly, are you able to write off the use of your vehicle? Or get reimbursed mileage?

Uhhh... That's the LAST thing you want to happen, but that's what DOES happen.
You're talking 1200lbs. of weight on stilts. Right through the windshield. Blam-O! Goodnight.

You’re ok with a deer or coyote strike, moose or elk might not be so lucky.

Have come very close to needing mine over the years. It isn’t pretty, but it might save your life.

I just bought a used Tacoma from a Ford dealer and they had a Bronco in the showroom. It kind of reminded me of my FJ40 with the removable hard top. Color was similar to cement, it was pretty cool. I am leary of any new car with a complete redesign. The 24 Tacoma is proving that, unfortunately. You might want to give Bronco's another year to get the bugs worked out. Since you are towing so much, and need more space, why not consider a Tundra?

Even a deer can be pretty dangerous... Depends on how big. I've seen a few rigs with buck antlers through the windshield.
    A coyote? Plastic damage.
Anything (Except squirrels and cats and small stuff) your always at risk of something....
My last job right before I retired, I had a town-owned 2010 Furd Ranger. Coming back from getting some supplies for the shop... Only at about 50 MPH.... Hit a Pheasant that decided to take off on flight and commit suicide in front of my truck.
Shattered the whole plastic front grill and went 1/2 way through the AC condenser. (Broken then of course...)
So even the 'small shit' .... Yeah, now days.... It can get very expensive.
So just pray you never hit 'big shit' ... LOL!

moose can kill you, I don’t think that huge ugly bumper would do much,

    airbag approved bumper means useless.

I expect this and this is my fear to be honest. And I don’t plan to keep it past the 3yr bumper to bumper warranty. So we’ll see. My plan is to get a Toyota in 2 yrs or so

Yeah weird, it’s a good little truck but it has its’ limitations, and can reach them fairly quick. Have mine stuffed to the gills for a moto event this weekend, sure wishing I had a full-size with an 8’ bed.

I looked at the Bronco too, but gives up even more space for gear, and doesn’t meet my towing needs. Cool SUV through, hoot to drive, couple coworkers have them, interiors are even cheaper feeling than a Tacomas.

It really is. He has had it completely redone right down to having all chrome rechromed. He has the original 340hp (not the injection one) and Muncie 4 speed in his garage but had a 350 from a later model vette with a 5 speed put in to make it a bit more driveable. He also had discs put up front so guess you’d call it a restomod. It’s got some serious nuts.
