IMG_2597.jpg Last summer I was at the crappiest boat ramp ever trying to park my boat trailer. At 2mph or less I hit a rock sticking out of the wall with drivers side wheel turned, popped my Duratrac tire. Put the spare tire on to get home and all the sensors were going off and I had drivers tire screeching all the way home. Truck had to go into Auto Body for a claim and while there I had the situation addressed. New upper and lower control arm. Got the truck back and the tire squeeks and skids taken a right. Looking at the tires with wheels straight? The Drivers side is off.

    What else can be changed?

    thanks in advance.

Drivers side tire is definitely facing out.

Had the alignment done. Nothing noted as a problem. I will see if I can find the numbers.

Any chance of bringing it back to the alignment shop?

It's a bit if a drive for you but off-road elements does some nice work on jeeps and trucks in Abington, ma. I made the drive from cape ann down to there shop, nice guys. I would imagine they could figure it out.

Looks like your toe was all messed up after the body shop work, which is no surprise , but they got it back in spec. I’d send it.

Certainly an option, a very pricey option tho. For the cost of the diagnostic he could replace the spindle and tie rods and know everything was new. Once it’s all new there’s no reason a shop won’t be able to align it.
If it was my truck I’d replace the rest of what the other shop didn’t and send it

This alignment was done after the upper and lower control arms were swapped. I did the alignment it because of the tires screeching on right hand turns. Didn't help.

The only mods is a leveling kit up front by ready lift and 2" springs rear.

I’d check for bent tie rods then. Sounds like the tires aren’t staying correct as you turn the steering wheel, which probably wouldn’t show on an alignment sheet

I can’t believe a shop would say his uppers and lowers were band and not need tie rod ends as well

Thanks for the insight guys. To me it seems like if the spindle was bad or any other part it should show up on the alignment report. We can all clearly see the tire drivers side is looking the other way.

But did they look at the rods themselves- ends could be fine but a rod could have a slight bend in it and they wouldn’t notice unless they knew what they were looking for and why.

From the op, yes, they looked over everything and decided he needed upper and lower control arms. The weak link is the tie rod… why they wouldn’t throw that in too is silly and is/was most likely the only issue.

I mirrored your passenger tire in the photo and put it next to the driver's side tire. One of them is off, not sure which one:
