Got an email from Toyota of Gladstone (Oregon) stating that 2024 Tacoma’s were already on sale at a little over $2,000 off MSRP. Guess they can’t give them away!

Toyota needs to try harder then. Volkswagen is dishing out 1.9% rates. I have no idea how, though.

Gladstone Toyota can’t let Tacomas pile up on their lot. No room with Tundras everywhere.

Quite ridiculous, even the SR5 on third gens starting from 2020+ have it. No excuses considering their crazy starting price for the new gen.

Give me a 2024 dual cab TRD sport for $36k OTD (taxes and everything) and I “might” buy it.

I would trade in my 2021 19K mi, but I have too much in it(lift/wheels/tires,tune, UCA, clazzio seat covers). I would have to buy all that again.

based on ads i see on tv, all manufacturers are discounting vehicles. the price is just out of hand. my first house cost less than what the msrp is for many full-size trucks and my mortgage at the time was a smaller percentage of my take home pay.

besides price, i think toyota's other issues are styling and declining quality and reliability. i know it is personal taste and you fan boys should not get offended but, many of us think the styling of the new tacoma and tundra are hideous.

if i were in the market for a full-size, the new tundra wouldn't even be a consideration.

They can’t even install a plastic top engine cover to disguise that mess of wiring and plumbing for the 4 cylinder turdbo engine? Maybe they were concerned it would contain heat? Most unsanitary engine bay I think I’ve ever seen.

I don't get the need for that. 50's, 60's, 70's engine bay didn't have the fake, hide me covers. Rest of the world doesn't have that completely unnecessary, useless piece of crap. I WANT to see what may be leaking/malfunctioning. Just another thing in the way when I am doing routine maintenance. Thank you, Toyota.

For those who have the need, here ya go:

That’s back when engines looked like engines. The Tacoma 2.4 Turdbo looks like a rats nest of wiring and plumbing on a very necessarily complicated engine design. Even the GM twins have a cover to hide all that crap. The cover pops off in like 2 seconds with no tools if you want to inspect anything
