Ah man what a great weekend, went to Loon on Sunday. If I laid down on the side I got absolutely buried.

Saturday I was gonna go to vermont but with Rachel out of town for work I didn't want to risk someone hitting my truck and getting me stuck away from the pets. Plus it was sleeting pretty hard in the AM around when I would've headed out and wanted to keep an eye on the chickens.

Looks like everyone had a blast in the pics on the other thread though.

Anybody know what size the hardware is on the transmission crossmember? I want to get longer bolts and some new nuts but would rather not have to take one out, drive wife's car, check store and find none lol

I've decided once I pull the Vette out of storage this spring it's 100% going for sale if anyone is interested in a toy. I'll do a formal FS ad once everything's up and I've got the tires switched (no, it's not coming with the BBS LMs, unless I get an offer I can't refuse.)

The basics is it's a 1999 hatch with just about 85,000 miles on it, if I remember right. It's a 6MT, blue with light grey interior. It's in decent shape for the age with the only notable flaws being that it likely needs a slave cylinder (the clutch sticks to the floor occasional due to a fluid leak), the oil pressure gauge doesn't work (sender is under the intake manifold, a known weak point of these cars), the AC charge lasts a season and the passenger seat has some slight discoloration of the leather. Otherwise, it's got Corsa axle back exhaust, a killer stereo system and a few other niceties. When I put it into storage all the pesky electronics worked, which is excellent as the ABS computers are no longer available for the 97-00 cars. Admittedly the clutch issue hurts value since the slave cylinder is inside the bellhousing, so it's a drop the driveline and "while you're in there" type repairs, but it's a good weekend project for someone who's wanting to turn some wrenches.

I can give way more details if someone's actually interested and will do a formal ad at some point once I can get some nice photos with the stock wheels on it.

What rough price point are you thinking of listing it at?

$12,000 so I don't get 4-figure offers. The clutch issue hurts value, certainly, but it's a manual transmission car that isn't beige or red, which tends to help value. It's not a firm price, but I'm also not entertaining a four figure offer, either.

I'll probably be listing the LMs for $2,200 and then I've got the extra glass roof listed for $800 to see where the offers lie.

Obviously until those items sell I'd be willing to sell it altogether as-is to save me having to swap the wheels over (I store it on stock wheels with junk tires).

    LS1, only the Z06 had the LS6 (385 hp in 2001, 405 hp 02-04). Since it's a pre-01 it has the early non LS6 intake so it's 345 hp vs 350 hp.

When I had my LS1 trans am, the LS6 intake was a popular upgrade. I don't know if it really added 5HP like GM claims. I had a couple Pontiacs with "Ram Air" that supposedly added 5HP, like it was going to push in air the engine wasn't already sucking in.

That was one of those "back burner" upgrades I had thought about doing, or an LS2 intake, but I just never got around to it. I was going to do a relocate of the oil pressure sender at the same time to make replacing them simple, but life got in the way.

I never got around to it either, or anything to make it faster. I did a couple appearance mods, I also upgraded the suspension for better corning, and eliminated that damn skip shift BS.

    The fun never stops.

Rode shotgun with a friend to North of Quebec to pick up a bitchin custom camper box (I'll post about it later). Stopped right before the border on the way home and noticed unusually soft brakes on the exit ramp.

Blew the brake line open right at the hardline to rear hose fitting. Cant tell if its the line or the fitting or what, not that it matters at this point. Thank God AAA has cross coverage with CAA.

Same thing happened to my truck about a month ago. Blowout of the left rear hardline. Mechanic who fixed it said the line right outside the fitting rusted out.

Those who have 2G taco, my uncle has an issue with his dome/aftermarket courtesy lights. Here is a recap of what was done to the circuit, issues, and testing done so far:
    • LED step lights installed with aftermarket running boards, tapped into dome circuit with inline crimp taps (installed by me) over 3 years ago, worked fine.
    • Courtesy lights (bought from MattGecko) swapped onto LED step light circuit and sealed with liquid electrical and regular electrical tape - all lights worked as intended for over a year.
    • MESO dome light added in place of LED bulb - this was installed mid January this year.
    • Few days ago during the massive rainstorm, symptoms started appearing.
    • Courtesy lights light up only half the strip - passenger side brighter than driver side
    • Courtesy lights are always on and dim whether the truck is running or not with the circuit set to "door" or "on".
    • Dome light always on and dim whether the truck is running or not with the doors closed and circuit set to "door". Otherwise does functions normally, including dimming and full brightness when doors open or set to "on"
    • Measured voltage at dome light which reads roughly 8V with all doors closed and switch set to "door". 12V when set to "on" and when doors open and set to "door"
    • Pulled fuse from original LED step light kit and dome light works as intended with truck off.
    • Dome light still on dim when truck is running. Tried swapping MESO for regular LED bulb, same issues persist.

Any idea what the issue could be? I tried shaking the inline taps to see if I could get some flickering, but nothing. The courtesy lights did flicker randomly from time to time, but never when I was shaking the wiring around at any connection point.

I'd check your taps for corrosion. They might make a good connection for a little but they never hold up. I had a problem with my retros and those since I did my retros in SC and didn't have proper tools to splice into the factory harness. Then had problems with the taps getting the green shit in them
