You could buy it from crutchfields and have them make up the harness for you.

Yes, just tell them about your vehicle (make, model, trim) and the part you are wanting to install. They will make you a plug and play ready harness. I don't think it costs very much.

Ugh their sale ends at midnight. I wonder if I can purchase the harness separately at a later date?

I've seen and heard so much good things about these tires I'm pretty sure they are my go to replacements when the DuraTracs wear out or date expire :). And they come in 265/75R16 std load rating which is my perfect 'no lift' size tire.

Well, I set aside some time to seal my wheels and rotate the tires. I got just about finished with the first wheel and then life happened. So, I had to pivot and will have to resume this job next weekend.

Anyway, the first wheel looks great. I didn't take a before pic because the job was supposed to go to completion. I thought I had 3 more opportunities for that! LOL

What about those wheel weights ^

Completed the speaker replacement yesterday. I went with this series, higher RMS and on sale (Crutchfield). Sounds great!

Blackout package - planned: black bed logos, black wheel vinyls, front seat window tint, tires.
Yeah, still a little pricey for a couple of knobs, but I get it. I had some aftermarket metal ones like these on my '18 and liked them, so wanted to get something similar.

Lights, stickers, audio, and a grille…
Life has been crazy lately, so really haven’t done much to the old Taco for awhile. Today I finally had some time to do a few things. I wanted to replace the front bumper cover. It hasn’t clipped all the way in since I bought her 4 years ago, and now the paint is starting to come off. My guess is the previous owner bumped into something at some point. So I took the whole thing apart only to realize one of the blue clips was missing, hence why it hasn’t been tight this whole time… I ordered new blue clips, and will replace when they get here. It will also be nice to loose the front license plate bracket as PA doesn’t require a front plate and whoever installed the original bracket drilled three sets of holes!

Next on the list was replacing a fog light surround that was damaged when something fell off a trailer that was passing me at night in a downpour. Hit with enough force to break the Diode Dynamics SS3 fog light bracket. Thankfully the pod was undamaged. I was able to swap the drivers and passenger side brackets and use them upside down to avoid paying over $100 for a replacement bracket… Anyway, went to switch out the surround and realized they changed the design at some point… The new one is more angular then the old boxy 2016 version. Too late to return the new one, and was having trouble locating the old one for sale anyway, so purchased a new design driver side fog light surround, and will replace both when it arrives. Can’t drive around mismatched for the few days it will take to get here!

So with both of those items a bust, I moved on to repainting the insert that sits behind the “TOYOTA” opening in the front grill. I knew I had a bunch of road chips in it, but didn’t realize how faded it was until I took it off and the letters had been burned into the paint. Sanded and repainted with the redest spray paint I could find, and three coats of high gloss clear coat, and the grill letters are back to popping again!

So while I was applying the many coats of paint, I worked on a horn upgrade. The stock horns are plenty, but I wanted something that would really get some attention, but I didn’t want to go crazy. Hoping it will still pass inspection next year, and didn’t feel like adding a relay. Originally I wanted to just add a set of PIAA Superior Bass horns to the stock set of horns, but upon further research I discovered the stock horn fuse is 10amps, and the stock horns are rated at 4.5 amps each. Strange that Toyota would run a fuse at 90%, but that didn’t leave enough room for one of the PIAA horns let alone two at 2.7 amps each… So I ordered the Superior Bass set(https://www.amazon.com/PIAA-peer-sport-number-HO-9/dp/B004VJMYD2), and an additional 500hz horn(https://www.amazon.com/76500-500Hz-Sports-Weather-Resistant/dp/B000GZJ2GM) to replace the stock horns with 3 2.7amp PIAA horns. Would’ve been nice to get the 600Hz horn in there as well, but that would have pushed it to 10.8 amps… So these three horns actually draw less then the stock two horns(8.1amps vs 9amps) and are much louder, and now have an added low tone as well! I was actually startled at how loud they are upon testing them! Great upgrade, would recommend! I installed using @Nitori ’s no splice, no relay, no drill method. https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads...elay-free-splice-free-and-no-drilling.433020/
    IMG_4391.jpg
In my rush I didn’t think to record the stock horns, so there is no comparison.
    https://youtu.be/07OP-VBRo_A?si=KH5Dqct4L06AgdlN

After that was all wrapped up, I removed a couple TRD decals and a sticker I used to cover the dealer badge on the tailgate. Now I have to figure out how to remove the dealer vinyl… Everything else just pealed off, and then Goo Gone and I was good to go, but that dealer decal won’t budge!:annoyed: Then I stowed the red hard shackles I’ve had hanging on the front and rear hitch for a while. Thinking about debadging the V6 on the tailgate, but ran out of time. I may also remove the lower airdam when I get new tires, but I’m still undecided as she is a pavement princess … Didn’t get as much as I was hoping done, but accomplished something I guess…

    Cheers,
    Nate.

Any clips of the sound? I've been wanting to get something louder and deeper that draws more attention when needed.
