Thinkin about checking one of these out this evening. 2016 Triumph Scrambler. They quoted me $5400 out the door.

 

Well the person came to look at the bike. A 35 yr old woman who is an officer in the Navy. right now she rides a 2019 mt07 . It’s lowered because she is short but she hates it over 60mph with the wind pushing her around, says it’s too loud, wants a more Sportbike feel which the R3 gives that. She LOVES the R3. She fits perfect on it. She said she will meet me at the bank on Monday to do the transaction. Said she would pay the $5900 I am asking because she knows the value of the high end mods.
Still not a done deal but looks good.

Well she called back and said the bank can do it today so I went to the bank , got my $5900 in cash and she just rode off. She still needs to come back for all the stick parts.

 

I agree “the perfect buyer” … I have gotten extremely lucky selling vehicles that I don’t or haven’t gotten the bad buyer. It’s always the first person that looks buys.
As far as bike shopping goes I need to step back and take a long hard look at what I really want. I still have the KLX and the monkey so I don’t have the “no bike anxiety”.

 

Triumph 675 might be a good option for you. Lower rpm torque for better pull out of corners without being super high strung all the time, but still a nimble and not stupid overpowered liter bike.

 

Well I found a 2009 Yamaha FZ1 with 7000 miles, stock ,blue with gold wheels. I found it this last week and contacted the guy. Told him if my bike sells I would be interested.
Yes I just sold a 2012 FZ1 that was modded for $6800 and the guy is trying to sell it now for 8k . The bike was comfortable, fast and has decent suspension. Plus I looked at the motorcycle riding position website and the fz1 is a 17* lean forward, the R3 was real close but a bit more lean. My zx10 was 44* , the cbr929 is 40* and most of the 600cc supersports are in the same 40-44* .
I didn’t hate riding the zx10 but couldn’t do any serious mileage. The FZ1 could ride all day. I did take the FZ1 to a track day but it rained and only had maybe a session and a half that was dry.
Well he was asking $4500 so hit him with I didn’t get as much as I thought for my bike and that I couldn’t come look. Then I waited a couple hours and hit him with if I came with cash in hand how much would he take for it. He said $3800 was his lowest .
That is a deal I can not pass up. I could clean it up and list it in a few months and make money if I wanted. So I asked when he was available for pickup. Said he had to find out when. Hopefully it’s a done deal or gets done soon.

Loved it, but it was too big for my commuting. I got the gnat bag a while back and that has been the perfect size for me.

 

I think I have a serious problem. I have way too much time to think. lol
So the deal kinda fell through which is fine and not a big deal. Now I can breathe, take a step back and enjoy what I have.
What I really need to do is focus on loosing 30lbs so if and when I get another sport bike I can fit into my leathers. They are too tight and uncomfortable. Also if I build my strength up in my back it will not be hard to ride something more aggressive.
Crazy ass roller coaster I put myself on. Sorry I took some of you on the ride. Lol

 

Took the bike out for a rip and man idk if it's the bars or what but the fat bars feel great!
