I want to level my truck but am unsure about what means to go by doing it. Any ideas?

These trucks when new only have 1-1.5" of rake, as they age they can be even less. So you are looking to raise the front 1"?

By leveling the truck, anytime you use it to haul or tow anything substantial your truck will squat (rear end will be lower than the front).

Also the truck was designed with a rake, and the braking system and aerodynamics took that into account. Even a 1" lift up front (to level the truck), can negatively affect MPG and braking performance.

Do you plan to use it to tow or haul anything?

If so it will always squat when you do that, if you want it to look level when unladen.

Hence why trucks have a rake from the factory... So that a squat under load actually levels them out, vs. putting them in an actual squatted stance
