Door auto unlock works, door auto lock does not. Nor can I lock them all with my key

Hey guys. I recently ordered a new fob and while programming it I realized when I hit lock on the drivers side door nothing happens; no sound nada. When I hit unlock the doors will unlock.
I also cannot lock the truck using the key on the driver's door how i used to. If its just the auto locking all doors thats not working, would anyone have recommendations on where to start for troubleshooting?

The 20amp fuse under the dash is fine btw. You know im wondering if its the actual control on the master window/door lock control panel.

 

Do they work normally from the passenger door switch?

 

Yes that one works - It is just the drivers side door. I have an ect3000. I was going to test the by putting a voltage on the wire coming from the harness on the drivers side to see if I can get it to lock - I figure if that works I can chalk it up to being a faulty switch. An expensive part like + $350

 

So I had purchased a key fob for my 2013 tacoma (the two that came with the truck busted a while back) and I just programmed the new one and now suddenly the lock feature on the driver’s side door works. Odd

Don't start applying power to stuff, the switch grounds the control wires to tell the Body ECU to lock or unlock the doors.

 

I wonder if maybe one of the wires is broken in the door flex thus it working intermittently.
