Gonna hit ya with a couple things....

42" forks are a really good option for most people. 36" are too short if you have a mid/large tractor cause you cant see them well from the seat. 42's you can see.

As TD mentioned the only drawback to 42's is that a full size pallet is 48" & this means you miss the back board of the pallet & have no stick out.

Most people aren't doing much pallet work. EVERYTHING at my place is on pallets as my back is crap now days. stumpgrinder= pallet, snow blade= pallet, crusher=pallet, heavy steel=pallets.. my ammo stacks/horde= pallets

My neighbors wood stove pellets that I move for him? Pallets....

So its all more about your use. For those of us with not much space who have to store on racks vertically? Pallets are the answer. 42" forks still work just fine, you just don't have any stick out.

PS: I'm in process of switching out to all plastic pallets vs wood.

To other stuff: did a full on mow job yesterday, trimmed, mulched. Mowed twice already, but this was the first time of doing the 5acres completely for the season. Was trying to beat the all day rains we are supposed to have for the next 4 days.

Got up to a very clear dry sky.

Carrier is FedEx. The latest update this morning shows all three pieces out for delivery. However two pieces went out for delivery early this morning, and show delivery between 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. The third piece (that had showed exception) went out for delivery later this morning and just shows delivery by 7:00 p.m. I'm thinking it missed the boat for the early truck and it's going to arrive on a separate delivery.

Everything showed up about an hour and a half ago. @Tiedie was correct... all on the same truck. Haven't tried picking up stuff yet.. had to go look at a new dining room table, chairs, and side piece. Now TCU Baseball is on TV. Maybe in a few hours . . .

Well thanks. For 18 years I was the LTL driver with a 48' trailer tagging along, I would see stuff like that all the time especially if it gets put on a different trailer because it got left behind by accident.
    Good luck putting it together.

Not sure if I'm doing something wrong, or if the pieces just don't fit together. The orange backplate says USA, the forks don't. Maybe they sent me chopsticks.. I mean Chinese forks?

I remember a very specific order. I believe the bottom had to go in first and the top slipped into place after. Has to do with the lever on the top too. Let me see if I can dig up some info. I struggled a bit when I get mine

There should be a gap in the bottom of the frame for the bottom hook to enter and slide outwards in place. Rinse and repeat for the other fork

There is a spot in the middle of the rack at the bottom that is recessed to allow the bottom of the forks to slip into place under the 2" receiver. Then slide them back to the outside for use.

Thanks. I downloaded the Titan "Operators Manual" for these yesterday. Doesn't say a word about how to assemble. I put the top on first, then tilted the backplate to try ti get the bottom in. Trying to avoid picking anything up manually. Had double hernia surgery 7 years ago, and busted something loose again a month after we moved to the country. :annoyed:

@Kbar and @KRAMERICA .... Thanks! It would be soooooo much easier if their stinkin' "Manual" would tell you these things!!!

    Stupid me

I had taken one more picture earlier that I neglected to post. It clearly shows the gap that you guys described. Tomorrow morning I'll see if I can get the forks installed before the Easter Bunny takes over. :)

So I have had a big pothole in the driveway near the house, been there for years but it recently started growing rapidly. I decided to use the box blade to rip up the gravel and redrag the 200 yard section of the driveway closest to the house. The gravel was a bit thinner the I expected it to be and I over did it a wee bit. I tore up to much of the gravel (the gravel layer was really thin), that I dug into the dirt under it. There doesn't appear to be much if any base rock underneath, it rained right after I dragged then that area turned to a mud pie. Unfortunately I didn't take a before I started pic, but I've taken some of my attempts to repair the extra damage I caused.

I cleaned up and removed the mud after most of it dried. Unfortunately my turf roller hadn't been very effective against the mud.IMG_4787.jpg
    IMG_4784.jpg
I ordered a load of Surge from the quarry for $480 :spending:to create a new base in the new expanded mud pit. With a new drain pipe to hopefully :fingerscrossed: let the water drain better in the future.
    IMG_4791.jpg

I also rented a roller for the weekend, :spending: add another $370.
    IMG_4809.jpg

Using my awesome tractor:D, I spread the big rock into a good base and used the roller to pound the rocks into a hard pack.
    IMG_4792.jpg IMG_4803.jpg IMG_4806.jpg

Now the low spot is packed into a nice solid base, with a drain pipe in the lowest spot.
    IMG_4814.jpg

I've got an order into the quarry for a load of Pug for Monday morning:spending:. Hopefully, it will arrive before they come to pickup the roller. The roller will do a much better job packing the Pug than I can do with my tractor and roller.:fingerscrossed: This has turned into a very expensive pothole repair.:annoyed: If I'm lucky I won't ever have to do it again.

if I remember right, it is towards you. If you bring it around the loop the other way there’s only one way to wrap it where it actually catches and cinches down if that makes sense.

I think you quoted the wrong post. I understood because I remember the context. Or I'm just wrong, like normal

    Edit: yeah I'm wrong.

    At least I'm consistent.
