GX market has been all over the place since 2020. Wiped my hands clean of my 05 with 117k for 17.5 in 2021 and that was a relatively quick sale. Guy flew out from another state and picked it up and drove it home. The people looking for these rigs all decked out are a very specific group and they usually know what price they are looking to pay.

Well it’s a good looking vehicle, your hard work shows through. How dependable are the GX470s? When I think Lexus, I usually don’t associate them with being overly reliable.

Extremely. You have to be willing to do your own work and know where the weak points are. First thing I did when I bought it was all the maintenance (i.e. timing belt, water pump, radiator, fluids etc). Then deleted the air bag system and emissions. Replaced all the suspension components (bushings, coilovers, UCA's/LCA's front and rear) next. It's never had an issue in the 70k miles I've had it and has still been the most comfortable Toyota product that I've owned. Gearing and lockers are probably next on the short list.

Sorry, didn't mean to high jack the thread. Back to your normally scheduled programming...

o_O Huh? You know that the Lexus brand is the mostly-Japanese built upscale wing of Toyota, right? Are you sure you're not thinking about Infiniti? Or Lincoln?

Yes sir, I did know that! I have a couple friends who don’t have high opinions of Lexus so there is obviously a bias here. Either way, I have more to look up and I’ll stop hijacking the thread. Appreciate the info!

the GX is a fancy Toyota Prado. would own a GX no questions, like an extra fancy 4runner in a way.
