It’s been kinda slow actually

It hasn’t been that busy lately. I think most people are heading south to the Ozarks and Ouachitas since they’re right in the path.

 

this, and skip the off brand black gasket maker it doesn't hold up as well

 

Come Wednesday or so I'll be picking up some vallisneria, hygrophila corymbosa, and maybe some ludwigia triple red plants for the new aquarium

 

Salt water?

 

Finally moved the sliders from the LX to the LC to get ready for the Eclipse.

 

Considered going saltwater! Maybe a reef only tank down the road.

Naw, freshwater.

Been about 16 years since I last had a tank, and the many times Austin mentioned his, made me want one even more again.

Last week I bought a heater, filter, bacteria, and other items. Today on the way home, I picked up a 20 gallon tank.

Wednesday my full spectrum light and test kit arrives so thinking I'll grab plants that same day and start the nitrogen cycle right away.

Plan is for snails and shrimp at the bottom, and tetras in the center.

 

Oh okay yeah I would do a freshwater tank too I mean I technically have one but I would consider doing one indoor as well. I don't have enough expendable time or income to consider doing saltwater bullshit though

 

Would be easier doing an indoor freshwater for ya, considering you're keeping up with that outdoor pond.

I'd think algae would be the biggest concern outside? Hard water? I know koi fish are rather resilient, just never had a pond to take care of.

With all the shit available nowadays, cycling a new tank could be done significantly faster with stuff like bacteria in a bottle and more.

Bought some Fritz Zyme 7 as it's highly praised all over.

Lighting I went with Finnex CRV.

 

What do you put in a freshwater tank? Gold fish? betta fish? Go catch a trout at a local pond?

 

I'll be going with nerite snails most likely



ramshorn snails are another option



Those would be paired with cherry shrimp



And last but not least, a school of tetra's



Being a planted aquarium, I'll be incorporating 3-4 different types of live plants

Think we'll just keep decorating like we are.
This really could get real expensive with the tags we have potential to draw

There's nothing on Earth quite as consistent as my gas mileage in the Land Cruiser. Driving over 70mph... 13.5mpg, driving 50-60mph... 13.8mpg, city driving... 13mpg. The only time it changes is if I pull a trailer then it's instantly 6mpg

 

Sounds like my diesel. Damn thing is consistent. Only time it changed was wheeling I saw it dip to 8.8.

 

1st world problem. Why can't Toyota keep the steering wheel controls in the same spot. I keep calling people when trying to turn up the radio.
