Nice LM bass there Murph!

The ones commonly known for carrying Lyme disease are very small. I've been lucky, probably had 5 or 6 ticks buried in me and found others before they got that far, never while wearing the treated clothing though, so far so good.

Leg of lamb Greg, that's not that common around here and I can't even remember ever having it, possibly did somewhere along the line, but it had to be a very long time ago if I did, maybe more on the order of lamb chops.

 

It's actually pretty easy to find here. I get them at sams club, but the local Meijer carries them also. Very mild flavor, actually quite delicious. Getting to be cheaper than beef lately so we eat them quite often. I think this one was $25 for a 5.5 lb roast and netted and tied. Easy peasy.

 

I did the same thing to my tailgate lip, only not as bad. Only dent on my Tacoma since I bought it in 2006. Paint flaking is another issue!

 

All this talk about ticks are reminding me about a news article about 3 weeks ago on our local news at the weather portion telling everyone to beware of ticks early and that this warmer winter we've had will be a lead in to an early heavy tick season. They found some on the guys dog already after going for a walk on a couple trails.

 

The project truck is coming along. Cab will use the original front mounts but now I'm trying to adapt the rear ones from the M37 to the frame of the '78 Chevy.



The wife and I went for a drive today and found this chain which is used for clearing sage and pinion pine for grazing. The first one has my foot for scale. I can't even imagine what a chain like this would cost.

One of my sons, when he was 12 bought the knife set for me one year for Father’s Day. The one that came in a briefcase.
I will say, there are a few knives in there that still see some action from time to time. Ron Popeil was a legend.
