21 bikes is now too many........gotta get down to at least 8. Six would be better but just can't figure out those last 2, lol.

Any good fixes for a creaky seat that only has 4 rides on it? Or is this a warranty issue? Of all the noises I’ve had this is the first time I’ve had a noisy seat. And on a new nearly quiet bike it’s annoying.

If it's squeaking where the rails join the saddle, I'd just squirt some lube into the rails and let it absorb into the insert (you can speed up the absorption by flexing the saddle shell). I have to do this on my old SLR saddles every month or two. Make sure it's the saddle though and not the seat post or something else on the bike.

Or a small amount of grease on the rails. Very small. Wipe on and wipe off most.

I’ll check bolts and give it a squirt. It kind of feels like something just tightened up but was surprised how quickly it became a problem.

    Not squeaking, yet…

Sorry if this has been answered a ton on here but I’ve searched and yet to find a solid answer.
I’ve got a 2019 DCSB and am getting back into mountain biking after a 10 yr break.
I’ve got a tri-fold OEM bed cover on the truck.
I’m looking at a medium sized Hardtail 29er and was curious if the bike would fit with the tri-fold cover folded back all the way and the bike on a tailgate pad?
Ultimately I’ll probably get a hitch rack but for now I was looking at this option.
    Thanks!

I don’t have a tri-fold so hopefully someone can chime in. Here’s some side profile pics with LG bikes for reference though.

Thanks! Gosh, that looks close, especially if your bike is a large.

Yeah, the hardtail isnt as long as the full sus. Depending on the style of hardtail you might be ok.

I rode with @chiefcrunchy this weekend and got to see his new DV9...man pictures don't do that paint job justice. It's like a purple clear coat over the raw carbon and it is beautiful. plus it is super light

huh. mine usually squeaks like crazy whenever it needs some lubrication and bolt checking. haha. that's usually my indicator. hopefully that fixes it for yah.

depends on the # of bikes and how large the bikes are. I don't have a tri-fold but it is possible to my understanding. Just need to angle the bikes. always worth a look at your local marketplace or pinkbike to see what racks are being sold locally. sometimes you'll find a good one for a good price. sometimes. :)

So would you recommend DH or Roost for general trail riding (flats)? I was just thinking of picking up some new shoes. Currently on some pretty old Five Ten Freeriders. They have been true to size for me in the past. Is that what you found for the 2fo?

Closest thing to mountain bike intended downhill/riding pants y’all have found that’s affordable?

I’d love to have more pants and shorts for riding so I don’t screw up my other clothes when I crash, but I’m not spending 150 bucks on pants so fuck off troy Lee and fox

I bought the Pearl Izumi Launch Trail Pants a number of years ago and have been quite pleased with them. Looks like they are on sale for $75 right now. https://www.pearlizumi.com/products/mens-launch-trail-pants-19112004?variant=40648341061803

Fit was pretty true to size. Maybe the biggest downside is the cuff is very tight and a pain to put on, but you forget about it once you finally force your foot through.

these have been decent enough for me. nothing amazing and the fit is a tiny bit funny but...it works for riding.
