The first one is where I messed up and didn't seek out a manual one like I wanted. My current one took a bit before something popped up optioned how I wanted. Couldn't be happier now. Although I have been looking at 4th gens. Almost pulled the trigger on an SR5, but I need to wait a model year or two. That and interest rates are fuuuuuuked as I'm not paying cash like rich guy @Sig45....

Haha. Not!! I simply planned/saved by making payments to myself after the Tacoma was paid off back in 2016.

The thought occurs to me, would my wannabe limo of a truck even fit in your garage? Or would you have to pull out the secret extension piece to make it fit?

Went grocery shopping this weekend as usual. So we decided to get some solar eclipse glasses,$1.99, what the hell. We’re not chasing it, hopefully I can see it off the deck. Wife is letting people punch out and watch it in the parking lot. Hopefully it will be clear enough to see. Pretty cool event, I probably won’t be around for the next one

Wife and I love storm and sky watching. The waves in South Haven are fun to watch when they’re 10+ feet

If we don't say anything we may avoid them... this is one holiday I'm happy to see the backside of each year.

    A little workie workie.
    Work tip I’ll pass along.
Seen plenty of guys break the retainer off the coil connector in cold weather.
If you take a heat gun and warm the coil and connector so it’s warm to the touch,
It makes the retainer more flexible reducing the chance of breakage.

    Fuck you never seize..

    IMG_7584.jpg

    What’s a torque wrench?

    IMG_7583.jpg

    40K on these plugs.
    Worn .004.
I’ve put my old plugs in customer trucks before because they couldn’t afford plugs and the electrodes
    were worn off..
    IMG_7585.jpg
Had a seep in the #2 plug tube last time so I loosened the Valve Cover and tightened it back down
without a torque wrench… DRY AS A BONE THIS TIME!!!

I’ll save these plugs for emergency…

    ya don't say....:101010:

since you chose to tread into tacoma/tool talk....

What's your opinion on beam torque wrenches. I've never dropped money on a large 3/8 or 1/2" drive torque wrench, and use an old (very old) beam style. It's my understanding that anything priced for mere mortals (< $200) is prone to being off, so therefore, no better than yer eyeball on a beam.

    Thoughts?

you might recall from our meeting. I had this same seepage issue on mine at my last plug change.

I would win bets with the new guys when I did rear ends. I did not use torque wrenches.
I would do it all by feel. One kid said no way can you do that. Bet him 100 bucks and the guy next to me told the kid to check his wallet. He did and he had a hundred bucks. Then, I had his hundred bucks lol
