What kind of lift is this?

Lifting Toyota front IFS does not allow for taller tires unless you plan to always drive in a straight line and never cycle your suspension.

On IFS suspensions, lift just changes the static right height. At full stuff with a 2” lift for example, your tire ends up at the same spot as it would on stock suspension.

 

Reverse searched your image and it looks to just be a simple puck and block lift

Never understood the need for “leveling kits”.

With load in the back the truck will squat quite a bit and will handle worse then a truck with a rake. Also, already shitty departure gets even shittier. To me “leveled” trucks don’t even look good.

 

Same. I like having a little rake for those reasons. I also think it looks better.

That's what you get with a bit of weight on a damn near leveled truck. Those OME mediums settled a long way and handled no weight.

I’ve got medium dobinsons for 3 years now and they have been holding up just great.

 

111 or 112? I found it interesting that dobinsons lists very different capacities for the DCLB vs DCSB. The 112 on a lb is 600lbs on a sb I think it was 800-1100 or so

 

I’ve got the 111s, so 0-200# of constant weight. That’s exactly how much my RTT and bedrack weigh:



Yes I did notice that with the 112s as well. Makes no sense to me.

 

Even for the 111 they register seperate weights. The 0-200 is LB specs 600 on SB. Did you find much settle with yours?


Regardless if that's where it sits fully loaded it looks damn near perfect. Still has maybe an inch of rake to it.

I honestly never measured but my trucks looks the same to me as it did 3 years ago.

The day lift was installed. Mind you truck had 265/70/17 tires:

I know my front springs settled at 1.75” after i added front stump bumper, winch and sliders. I would assume leaf’s settled an 1/8” or so?

 

I was banking on it settling about 1/4-1/2" but the ratio looks identical between the 2 at new.
But besides the tent I have very little weight in the bed currently. Ride quality has been far better than expected so far. I expected it to be super stiff with very little small bump compliance but doesn't seem to be the case.

 

I don’t mind how it rides unladen at all. Of course with some weight in the back it’s better. The only time it squats is when im completely packed with camping stuff and food/beers. I would say at least a 800 pounds:





Just took these 2 pics. Right side of truck seems to have a bit more take than left. Prolly a bit uneven driveway:

 

Mine does the same in my parking spot left side sits much lower than the right but on even ground it's much closer.
If mine ends uo comparable to your height with just my tent I'll be happy. I'm a but annoyed I forget to get a before and after measurement but it's easily 2" higher than before and with the weight shift my front sits a good 1/2" lower.

Oh man you’ve got 112s so you will be just fine.

I should take some measurement from centre of the hub to the middle of the fender sometime. I will be installing my RTT soon so I’ll take measurements before and after.
