Debating on attending the trial tomorrow for the guy I witnessed murder a Marine in 2022. Jury selection was today and the trial starts tomorrow and is expected to last 8-10 days. I figure I could attend 2-3 of those days. My old roommate and two of her friends were subpoenaed since they were nurses and treated the victims before the ambulance arrived.

I’m not a witness so maybe it’s dumb to go. But it is a public trial.

You witnessed it but aren't being called to the stand? Crazy.

The police didn’t want to talk to me that night. Even though I watched a guy take photos and video of the victims and run off when the cops showed up. NCIS/OSI gave their contact info to me a month later after the first sergeant at the squadron I worked for told them I was a witness. But I never called them. Figured if they wanted my story they would’ve reached out.

There was surveillance camera and smartphone videos to gather that night which are more important than human memory is what I figure.

    That makes sense

Well consider yourself fortunate; everyone deals with that sort of shit their own way and it could be a real trigger just thinking/talking about it all over again

Yeah 100%. I got sick to my stomach many times hearing coworkers/staff at the base hospital talk about it daily for months following the incident. Think I’m mostly fine now 1.5ish years later. And if I do attend I can just walk out whenever.

That's 100% normal, hell it could be years and the feeling will still hang.

I completely understand what you mean though; been about 18 years for me and I still gag.

Heat in my trucks been a bit weak since the head job, I did replace my heater valve and hoses while I was in there.

I have a feeling I missed something, or didn’t do something simple that I was supposed to after replacement. Coolant temp is normal/hot
