Here's a pic of where the passenger side failed. It the same place where the driver side was cracking. I bought this truck from the original owner and I believe these are original 20 year old parts with 334k miles on them.

Driver side cleaned up and back together.

I bought these a few months wanting to put them on my truck. I'm a bit OCD and had a hard time placing them under the Tacoma emblem(I prefer for them to be above) but decided that displaying the flag is better than not at all. IMO it's the most tasteful looking place and I went with it.

As a Veteran, I take the flag pretty seriously. If anyone knows any reason that the way I have these displayed is dishonoring PLEASE let me know. I searched and didn't come across anything contrary since there is another another flag involved.

We drove to Ft Morgan, got carry out at Sassy Bass(great food) and tailgated. Also found a trail to play in the sand a little. There was some loose and pretty deep sand. 4wd not optional here. Fun stuff.

Battery light came on and tested the alternator. Only had a little over 12V with truck running under full load. I pulled it off and swapped it with an Oreilly alternator. Hate to replace the Denso with the store brand but I needed it fixed. Truck has 345K miles on it. I purchased truck from original owner and there is no record of it being replaced so there is a good chance this was the original. Pretty good haul if its original.

Thank you. I haven't changed the height so according to my original post, I'm on the 2nd notch but this is the 4cyl. The bed cover is an Undercover.

Thanks Alex. I bought a very nice 2023 TRD OR just over a year ago but can't seem to let go of the old 2000. It's a great truck that I would feel confident driving it cross country tomorrow(if my back could handle it, LOL).... with 366k miles on it.
