Scored a sweet Jerry rig lever today. Also had to make an emergency stop in the tundra with a load of steel in the bed. Caved it in a little... time for a bed liner possibly?

Wasn't for my above board job. Just my side piece that's paying for my heating oil. I've put plenty more dents in the inside of this bed besides this one, it's just the most recent. I caved in the passenger fender with a pallet the first winter I had it.

I felt like an idiot... bed was full of snow and I couldn't see the fenders. Kept putting the pallet down with a couple transmissions on it when all of a sudden everything tipped... :bananadead:

So my new set of used bowling balls has a chip and pit in it.
    Starting the repair process .
    IMG_7587.jpg

Starting to transition to a lighter ball with less hook on dryer lanes.
At some point, you gotta make the change.

They are trying to con me into a lefty vs righty tournament at the end of the month.
Thinking about it. I guess I could be as good once as I ever was.
I’ll show the finished job tomorrow night or Thursday. Not as if I’m doing anything except blowing snow.

I never realized how much tech goes into a bowling ball, I just figured different weights

Candlepin has no oil applied to the lane surface. But, no two lanes are the same.
Lane finish has a bearing on how a ball reacts.
10 pin is whole different ball of wax.
They oil the lanes down in different patterns and the weight, composition of the ball makes it hook more or less, sooner or later.
Guys will bring a 1/2 dozen different balls to a tournament.
$150.00 a ball gets expensive. And those are not the ones the pro’s use.
10 pin is like getting the latest and greatest.
Candlepin is like 2 or 3 different ones and they stay around forever.
My original set I reconditioned are over 50 years old.
But, I need to change with the times.

Like anything I guess, you get to the top level and it’s a whole new ball of wax.:D Pretty interesting, sounds like you enjoy it, better than golf, you don’t have to chase it.
