Minimum one pour per night. Probably drink 6-7 days. Some nights more than other.

i only do drink fri, sat, and sun - about two drinks each time. sometimes ill do a third if we have friends over.

if it was a nasty day, ill grab a drink any of the other days - but just one.

That being said - i also take milk thistle which is proven to help with liver health.

The availability is just a plus. That 1920 is delicious. I try to always have a bottle of it in my collection.

Another one down. Not too shabby. Probably won't buy another, but I wouldn't turn it down if offered.20240401_204750.jpg

I usually have one 2oz glass as a nightcap during the week as I wind down for bed. Friday and Saturday are a little more open to excess. My wife and I like to make cocktails on the weekends. She's good for 1 or 2. I'll do 2 or 3 (or 4).

I don't drink daily or even weekly, more social or mood driven. When I do drink I'm usually having several drinks.

    Most Fridays and Saturdays.
During the week on days I go to the gym (3-4 days). Usually just an oz or two of whiskey on these days.

    Rules of Indulgence,

No drinks the night before work

No drinks if I’m the only one watching the kid

No more than 1 drink per night <- This is more of a suggestion

All in all I have 2-3 drinks a week. If I’m on PTO or with friends and/or family then I’ll give myself a break.

it's pretty good with lemonade. Or with some soda. Wasn't bad over ice either.

But I can find this vs the Crown royal.

    So, picked this up today.

    20240402_162459.jpg

We need to talk about it.

For those of you not familiar, Discovery is BBC's "go find shit on the sourcing market and blend it tasty" series. They make their own stuff too, but this has been a much more well known line for them.

Disco 11 has revived the buzz because of this:

    20240402_162508.jpg

There are two majors which sell barrels and use a 75/13/12 mashbill: Wild Turkey and Jim Beam. The major excitement is that, at 118 proof, it sure looks right by mashbill and proof to be mostly 13 year old whiskey from Turkey, which uses a barrel entry proof of 115. Beam typically goes in at 125.

78/13/9 is a known Beam mashbill as well.

Turkey almost never sells barrels to NDPs and doesn't say much about it when they do. And at this age...rare.

Either way, there's not really a wrong answer - Knob Creek 12y Cask Strength was raved about, I personally have several 14 y/o 120 proof KC store picks which are *excellent*, and any Turkey over 10 years of age at any proof is reliably a treat.

    Letcha know my thoughts shortly.
