Doing better, thanks for asking. Still rough, but I can navigate society without completely falling apart.

was a busy weekend getting stuff done on the truck and the bike. truck got all new suspension minus leaf springs and lower control arms plus the winch mount. dirtbike got fatbars to replace my bent ones i had from my accident in colorado. also i know they are a bit wider bars but the bike feels a lot more stable now and flickable idk was fun to rip around on thou!
not much left to do with the truck minus get new wheels and maybe some sliders just to protect the cab from anything hitting it at the local mall ya know! i do want a new rtt but im going to hold off on buying one for a bit to make sure the gf likes tent camping first.
headlight graphics coming in for this so it will match the rest of the bike. i should prob save up for all new transmisson gears eventually but they are doing fine for now.

I can't imagine me losing my pup, I know it will be extremely hard. I've had family dogs growing up, but he's my first dog I picked out and owned.

Hope things are getting better for you, my dude. Will you pick up another man's best friend after your grieving period?

Same thing with Sydney. We had family dogs growing up, but Sydney was mine. Best dog to ever live.

It's funny: I'd joked for a while now that whenever this day came I'd have to message my boss and instantly take a week off; I'd be a complete mess and he'd get no productivity out of me. But alas, in reality I had far to many plates spinning to even think about time off, and I'd just come back from vacation. So yeah, I don't have any shame. I was the grown-ass man bawling like a child in the middle of a rock quarry.

Life moves forward. I'll miss her every day from here on out, but it gets easier. Thanks for the kind words.

Wouldn't be surprised if I have another before year's end. In the past 32 years I've only been without a dog for 11 months. Logistically can't before September, but that's probably for the best anyway.

Definitely no shame for embracing your feelings. That's a true bond right there. Sometimes we can't pause our lives when we need to, but sometimes that helps you get through the day and through the grieving process.

Doesn’t get easier either. Our first dog was the worst. First cat too. Not long before the two we have will come to pass. Also a new hard part will be is this will be the kiddos first round with our current pups. Just rough but I’ll keep rescuing them. A true part of the fam.

Our previous two cats were truly my mom's favorites. Absolute personalities and just a big part of everything around the house. Losing them both within a year was really hard on her and then we lost our family dog and just a year later.

My dad was super adamant about not getting any more pets for a while, give everyone time to settle, clean up the house, get some projects done etc etc.

So like half a year later my aunt's barn cat has a leader of four. She splits them two and two, two for her and two as a surprise for my mom. At the same time, my mom also rescued a kitten so now they have three cats.

And my dad who is so adamant about not getting pets... Every evening when he goes for a walk. At least two of the three cats go with him. No leashes or anything. They just prance around with him because he is their best friend.

    I love it
