    the ole 19yr old beater!

@FishingInSand , if I wasn't so busy with kids in diapers Id setup a fun day trip for us San Diego guys to go out and bash around a bit. I have a few South to North runs I love doing.

Thanks! Can you post a pic of your lower cams just to get a general idea. Im imagining the front cam is close to 0 and the rear almost maxed out so you dont go into positive camber?

I have the polyperformance taco tabs and thats exactly what theyre set to. Front mounts are neutral and rear lca mounts are max outboard. I also have them on my 4runner with a TC 3.5kit in the same position and my camber numbers are almost 0* and caster is both 3.5+ each side .

Dude I've been following you since I bought my 2wd truck 10 years ago. With the cost of new trucks these days it was a no brainer to fix her up versus buy a new truck again.

Now I need to figure out if there's room to weld on a 2nd shock mount tab, everything seems really tight but I'm sure there should be room to fit.

Doing oriflame from top to bottom then driving east on sweeny pass to get to either the mudcaves or mortero wash/dos cabezas is also a fun easy run

I hit 95 mph over the weekend over some rough washboards. Although sustained was about 60 to 70 for about 20 mi. I was honestly more worried about the welds on my transmission crossmember holding up over the control arms with the bouncing lol

Are the bolts only offered in black oxide coating? Depending on how long that bolt needs to be, ordering from McMaster could be cheaper and you get yellow zinc chromate finish which will keep it from rusting much better than black oxide.

Just make sure the bolt head dimensions will fit on your application so your socket will fit where it needs to go. Then measure the length of your bolt and either reuse the nut or look up grade 8 5/8-18 top lock nuts and add them to your order. You could get more washers at the hardware store and just use a washer under the hex head of the new bolt since it’s not a flange head. Might end up costing you about the same, but you’ll have extra stover (top lock) nuts and washers and next time just purchase the bolts.

Woulndt be able to do that with either kit without getting different uniball misalignment spacers, the head of the bolts wont fit in the bore of the spacer.

Yeah that’s the one thing I thought of when saying to check the dimensions of the bolt head. That’s too bad, most kits I’ve seen use a tall spacer to move the bolt head up and out of the uniball cup. Depending on the size of the uniball you could probably buy an off the shelf spacer. A big workaround for something with a solution already laid out for you though. I just hate getting pigeon holed into rare replacement parts like that.

yup, if AP and this kit used 1" uni balls there would be a TON more options. As far as direct replacements for these arms , its gonna be AP, or Camburg both use 1.25 uniballs and 12pt hardware on their tacoma/t4r uca's

you would be correct, the 12pt 5/8" bolt head for the LCA spindle adapter is not machined down a few thousandths like the AP hardware.

Any links to this process? The cut and press method isn't terrible, but I'd love to have another option to try on the next install.
