Are you replacing them with the same brand again? Mine failed too and I don’t open and close them as much as you do. Debating if I should replace them with next one.

I can say from my experience AVS quality is as good or better. The key is clean the hood good were it mounts with alcohol and apply pressure a long all the edges. The only issue I had one time many years ago when I had a Pre-Runner mine would whistle at freeway speeds and I’m OCD and it was hard to clean the dirt off the hood under it.So this time I went with a flush mount and it’s whisper quiet. It still protects the hood really well to as I recently went on a 1100 mile road trip and not one nick on my hood
Here’s some pictures the first two is when the taco still had puppy breath and All stock :D
But it’s a good shot of the AVS

thumbnail_IMG_6977.jpg pulled the cabin filter, had some leaf debris and somewhat dusty, no pic, so ordered new fram arm and hammer one, shook the old one out and gave it a shot of fabreeze and put it back in till new one arrives, but the fabreeze was making me sneeze so took it back out and rinsed it real good and it looks like new so its good for another year......oem isnt paper so its seems ok

About to start prep and paint on a set of sliders from Wheeler's. I really don't know how they can offer free shipping on stuff like this.

There is a ton of space back there!

I got just the cubby without the OEM cover off of ebay.
If you to want the cubby and cover you need Toyota PN 64742-04010 .....their photo is upside down, the latches are shown near the bottom of the cover. They should be near the top.

initial insurance verdict is in. $4500 in damages, with full replacement of the rear door, and damage to both the front door, and the C-pillar that's not immediately evident.

Installed the softtopper 3rd brake light kit.
Also tinted the light to match the taillights honestly didn’t want it because I thought it wouldn’t look good but with having my family in the vehicle with me it’s worth the extra caution in traffic

They don’t. It’s calculated into the price of the product.

At least you can start on getting it repaired. Did they give you a time line? I've heard anywhere from weeks to months on average lately.
