Installed the softtopper 3rd brake light kit.
Also tinted the light to match the taillights honestly didn’t want it because I thought it wouldn’t look good but with having my family in the vehicle with me it’s worth the extra caution in traffic

They don’t. It’s calculated into the price of the product.

At least you can start on getting it repaired. Did they give you a time line? I've heard anywhere from weeks to months on average lately.

i haven't even gotten the complete breakdown of the quote yet, but it'll be at the body shop until completion. so far, the shop has been really on top of things. they had the quote set up and ready for insurance within the first 2 business hours on monday, so things have progressed faster than other shops i've used, at least on the paperwork side.

it's definitely one of my concerns, that things might be in limbo waiting for stuff, but really all it needs ordered is the rear door, and handle. the rest of the guts and interior panels should transfer over.

I was on a mission in a OH-58 when we were getting hits. Made it to the LZ. All the big wigs had to look. They counted 13 bullet holes. One was 2 inches from my tail rotor gear box..
When you lose tail rotor authority you can only land on a hard surface like a road or runway and you going to the crash sight because of the inertia off the main rotor blades.
Just one fraction of a second is all it takes.

no rental. one of many reasons i have 2 vehicles. but i also don't care to put 'work' miles on this car either... by winter, plans are being put into place for a 3rd vehicle for me to care less about that can bear the brunt of daily driving duties to keep the vehicles i really want in nicer shape...

I was offered the choice between a Tacoma and a Gladiator while mines in the shop. So I’m driving a rental Tacoma; I didn’t want that stelantis garbage.

I could have kep my Corolla and the truck. 30 MPG in the ancient Corolla (plus easier to maneuver in tight spaces) would have been nice. But (probably) did not like the combined insurance cost of the two. Too late ... some Papa Johns driver has killed my 2007 in 12 months (I could not in 13 years) most likely now ...

Well, I looked at similar options (design, material, construction) from a few other suppliers, and pricing was higher elsewhere, plus $200-250 in freight. I've built sliders myself, so I have a decent idea on material and labor costs, still say these were a deal, no lead time either!

More will follow. But for now I wanted some better stability when doing even mind off-roads. This year should be camping year ... bed tent, jet boil, portable toilet, etc.

I am experimenting now replacing my usual dinners with the freeze-dried field-meals. See if they mess with my ... uh ... stomach ... yeah, stomach ... like some changes in diet have proven to do. Not exactly more expensive then usual dinner ... I do not not have just 2 Taco Swill Soft Tacos for dinner.

I was given this t-shirt because I have a "Taco". I'm still trying to decide if it's really funny or just silly.
