    Thanks @RustyGreen

I got a pneumatic fluid evacuator a few years ago. Made replacing my brake fluid a breeze. My plan is to do exactly as you recommend once the weather turns.

    Much appreciated :hattip:

I hate to mention it for fear of karma having a laugh at my expense - I have never had to replace a rack yet.

    My thoughts:
The rack is made of aluminum, if the fluid is dark it must be aluminum particles, clear fluid = no particles = no abrasives in the fluid.

House is starting to smell good.

I'm 2 hours into simmering the ham bone from Sunday dinner, tomorrow evening with the addition of taters, celery, carrots & onions it will be soup.

    Scene:

    Inside the niece's new apartment.

She threw a load of clothes into the washing machine. Only to find out that the washer wasn't hooked up correctly so water was running everywhere.

Naturally, the washer is on the second floor.

The property manager had her shut off the breaker as the water was dripping from the smoke alarm in the ceiling of the main floor.

Welcome to your new place!

At least it wasn't their fault.

What kind of animal puts a washer in place and doesn't make the water connections? To the dumbgeon they go...

Speaking of dumbgeon, I'm headed back to work tomorrow, don't have a clue what I'm walking into...and that's fine...

I have to assume that it was hooked up otherwise it would have been leaking without the washer running. I'm betting it might have been the drain hose but I haven't seen pictures and it doesn't really matter anyway.

Niece was all worried that they were going to have to move, which I do have to admit I laughed at.

I’ve decided to keep my busted plastic horseys and fix the busted one when I got the time. Some friends on another forum turned me onto these
upload_2024-4-3_20-16-51.jpgThey sell at Lowe’s for around 53 bucks. I’ll stop by my local one and grab a pair

I've seen those or something similar before online, but never looked at them in person. I know a couple 2x4s would be cheaper, but I like the compactness of those.

I don’t have that specific brand but I have a set and like them a lot. Lots of small features that can be nice to use.
