Check must've cleared from ford. I actually like the ranger more than the taco but this review feels odd.

There is always that one guy. Sense of taste better than the rest. Can hear that awful tonality of the second chair violin in the remastered vinyl recording. Always that one guy. We have all met him.

I just can't get my eye to enjoy looking at these new rangers regardless of trim level. Fugly and looks like a Ridgeline

This is pretty opposite from what I've seen in pretty much every other Tacoma review. IMO most reviewers agree the 4G transmission is much, much better.

It’s a ford … so if I had a pick between the two ..Toyota would be my choice . Had a 99 ranger nothing but problems…was like ok maybe it’s just the model went to a 2010 mustang same thing issues . Ford quality is garbage even the interior felt cheap with the highest tier .

They’re monetizing every platform, and sponsored, and write this off against their business. Those dudes might be hated by some, but they’re living the dream.

You would think but the devil is in the details... Last few minutes of the video Andre mentions they will be trading in another truck to help cover the cost. While it makes business sense to get rid of inventory they have no use for so they are not paying tax on it, his voice seemed a little hesitant. But then again maybe that is not he area so he does not know much about what Roman does. Here are a couple estimates from 2 of their channels. Not sure how many full time people they have one staff but what they are making from youtube off these 2 channels will not go far so hopefully they are pulling in other advertising income.

They have 7 you tube channels if they are all earning similar they are probably doing ok enough to keep the business going.

Roman said this in an interview a couple of years ago

"We've got seven YouTube channels," Mica said. "About 15 million people per month watch our videos. And we have four websites, two podcasts, a TikTok channel. And so it's just always — it's like shoot, edit, publish, rinse, repeat."

Now our favorite click baiter Scotty is not doing too bad. 96K in the last 90 days for mostly filming in his driveway.

Nope. If it's not a Tacoma or made by the Toyota Mothership, we don't like it here and we don't let objective opinions or, in some cases, facts, get in the way of our blind devotion to all things Tacoma (Toyota). Every one of us here knows that my best friend's sister's boyfriend's brother's girlfriend heard from this guy who knows this kid who's going with the girl who saw a _________________ (insert non-Toyota truck here) catch fire, explode, lose 150% of its resale value, rust out, drop valves, blow up the engine, lose the transmission, and had the entire electrical system fail while parked at 31 Flavors last night. So I guess it's pretty serious.

As someone who by necessity needs a full size truck, yup. Bought a travel trailer last year, and the Tacoma’s just not great. It’s been fine for a couple hour trip but anything longer and need to move up. The tundras payload is a joke, and if you’re going to upgrade well get something that has some wiggle room. That starts leading me outside the Toyota family. I don’t want to, but that’s the offerings. So, it’s a fireball ford or whatever people call gm vehicles. Apparently, all will catch on fire or be broken down in 1000 miles. Love my Tacoma, been trouble free and reliable but they need to start making some real trucks. Right now, they are family haulers or strictly off roaders

"Entering its fourth generation literal decades after the third-gen model arrived, the Tacoma shows a relatively evolutionary design"

Another misunderstanding of the word "literal".

Not sure if Motor Trend has ever given a good review of a Tacoma of any generation. They always come across as "sports car guys" reviewing trucks

I wouldn't buy a Ford anything. To compare owning the two is crazy. If you're just leasing for 2 years then I guess it doesn't matter.

Methinks that MotorTrend’s invitation to the hybrid Tacoma/LC first drive and 4Runner reveal just got lost in the mail.

A little heavy-handed on the Tacoma, but don’t underestimate the new global Ranger.
