I actually ordered a 2010 color-matched grill and saved my chrome 2011 grill since it still looks badass. After shipping it cost just under $200. Not what you were looking for, but that's what I did...

It'll be more of a pain since there's more to cut but I can't see any reason it's not feasible. A Sawzall will make short work of the plastic grille.

Anybody have pics of this yet per the printed Grillcraft instructions for the 2011 (not the 05-10 on their website)?

The fine folks at Grillcraft have you cutting out the fat center section and leaving the honeycomb untouched. Funny they do not supply a photo of what the finished product looks like (ass).

The honeycomb is so close to the front edge, I cannot believe the remaining rim of the original grill will stay together after cutting it flush.

I don't know if I should send this back or attempt to hack the grill.

i cut the entire center out of my 2011 and put in the mesh grillcraft.

more to cut... if your gonna satoshi, its tougher... i would recommend getting a grille somewhere else... the 2011 will be a bit tougher to fiberglass/bondo to make it even.

Can you see the cut edges of the original grill behind the mesh grill or did you patch it?

I know the price on the link I provided above is not the most competitive relative to the group buy prices here on TW, but I ordered my grill on a Sunday night and was pulling it out of the box Thursday afternoon. Free shipping (UPS ground).

Too bad the grill is not a drop in replacement.:( Fast shipping from the retailer however.

I mean to have a bolt in solution that does not require a Sawzall and Bondo.
