Will a 1999 transmission fit my 2001?

I have a 2001 toyota tacoma 3.4 4wd double cab, I need to know if the auto transmission from a 1999 tacoma ext cab would work in my truck. From the pictures i received from the seller everything looks to be the exact same. Just figured id check here before actually purchasing it. The cable and shift linkages look to be identical. TIA!!

 

If the other truck is 4wd you're good to go. If not, it can work with some tricky modifications, and you'd be better off passing on it

 

Thank you! Yes the other truck is 4wd. mine has 330k on it and just found an absolute deal, 40k on the transmission and Tcase!
