We have a lot of rocks/boulders on our property. While plowing today I came around a corner and felt the rear of the truck kick out. I hit a rock..luckily it was my tire and not sheet metal!

Seems like this would require a step style slider, right?

That being the case, who has experience/owns sliders that stick out step style?

Prefer bolt on, would like to be able to use them as a lift point, because mud season.

As long as you have a kick out, and they are made from quality material, I'm sure you will be fine. There are quite a few reputable vendors.

Make sure to get the jack adaptor if you plan on using a hi lift jack on the sliders, but be careful when using it.

Sadly far less than there once were. The kickout isn't exactly neccesary though, sliding sideways into a rock the kickout isn't going to push you off the rock as it would driving towards it.

    Thanks.

Definitely will have a kick out. Any high lift action will be supervised, lol. If ever needed.

I like the lower profile sliders 15 degree maybe? But not as functional as I need. look cool though.

It's preference really. Lower angle if you want more of a "step" and higher angle to be more snug to car IIRC

Looking at something like the Cali Raised Trail Slider with a kick out, more tucked in than a step style. Just don’t like the look…
