Who’s to say those wouldn’t have all the same issues, and need new u joints and CBs etc?

I wish they made custom one pieces for the extra cabs, like those big aluminium ones they have now.

I wonder for how long and how many times the subject of driveshafts will be brought up in the LT from here on out

By the time I get one the pro shaft will probably be destroyed from taking all the drive for so long. I already feel kind of a clunk when starting out, yet it’s a lot smoother than it was.

They could who knows, gotta go look at em. I don't need a mechanic to tell me if a ujoint or cardan is bad so I wouldn't be caught wasting money like that.

The slip yoke was also unusable, so at a certain point it makes more sense to just get a new shaft. Even if I replaced the u joint and slip yoke, who’s to say the CB or OEM of the other joints wouldn’t go bad a month later?

Anyway, this is the damage. It’s actually a miracle the driveshaft didn’t come out of the yoke. The only thing holding it in was the tension from the carrier bearing holding it in place.

I’d bet most extra cab 1G Tacomas could probably use a new CB and u joints by now if they’re still original. It makes me miss my single cab. The 3G 4Runners should also have a one piece of I’m not mistaken.

    Ouch

It's been in the 50s here and I'm loving it, and the rain suddenly stopped altogether

Customer coming by at 430 so hoping it stays this nice and cool all day

It might’ve been me that did it in with all those trails in Colorado, who knows. Does this look like off road damage?
