Looks like neglect; you ever grease the fucker?

 

Windy asf fuck and I blew a headlight fuse. Might as well get new headlights cause who's to say a new fuse won't have the same issue.


Weird though, fuse popped while I was using my winch? Coincidence? Idk

I like the two piece, less prone to vibration and better angle to the diff, much less likely to get hung up on.

 

For sure, I mean hell I've never even seen a zerk fitting rust up like that

not a single spec of grease in the exposed grease channel (?)

I didn’t know they were greasable tbh. I don’t think they even make the ones with the zero fittings anymore since very few people ever do that anymore. That’s list the kind of thing I’ll never get around to, even though it’s dead easy.

The newer ones are all sealed to avoid unnecessary maintenance. It’s not WW2 anymore, ffs.

I think that’s mostly dirt tbf. It’s hard to get off when it clings to the fluid film.

There are tons of threads covering the locations of all the zerk fittings on your truck.

Not to mention the many threads that continue to pop up regarding u joint failures.

I'm surprised a skeptic like yourself has never gone down that rabbit hole let alone ask about this before until today.
