Same here. My 19 was dressed up for the showroom and I didn’t want to wait for a manual :anonymous: I inevitably regretted that decision.

So..i sort of cringe when posting up this type of post cuz it can spawn a :crapstorm:of superfluous responses and change the flow of the discord of this eminent thread.

Then I say fvck it, what other value do I bring to this cause....so...

50 odd posts to new mayor pronunciation.

Let's class this place up....looking at you canyon (never considered a Ford Maverick) considerer guy

    And, go!

Are you suggesting I'm doing a bad job as current mayor? I'd argue you're doing a bad job as a constituent.

Not at all...best mayor's I've witnessed are the ones who I don't even know is mayor. You've done a stunning job.

You won't get an argument out of me regarding my constituency status

You haven't tried to tax the rain yet, which means you're doing a better job than Mississauga's mayor.

I’ve come to accept the slushomatic. 1) being I’m too cheap to jump on a maneul. 2) I’ve just spent a small fortune on this rig in the past month. And 3) the hot rod is a true V8, 4 speed manual with a posi that is a boat load of fun (which I’ve also just spent a small fortune on)!

Indeed! I’ve spent the past week and a half renovating the main bathroom. Got a couple days work left to do on it.
This room also took precedence over my music room, which still needs a floor and a ceiling :(

So my tires came in yesterday. (255/85R16LT Wildpeak AT4W

Brought them over to Toyota to mount them up..... Dealer called 10 minutes after My wife picked me up to say that the tires are the wrong size and that they couldn't/wouldn't mount them.

After some protest i convinced them to go ahead with it at my own risk. Dealer then proceeds to break a tmps sensor during the install. :censored:

Nevertheless got them mounted up and i have to say they look sweet.

    upload_2024-4-4_20-37-5.png

On the drive home i feel a little vibration (probably topped out at 60-70kmh). Im thinking: No big deal the tires are alot bigger, heavier and stiffer than the outgoing set and its probably just some harshness I'll have to get used to.

Fast forward to my drive to work this morning. I hit 90kmh and the steering wheel was shaking so bad i thought i had a wheel coming off.

Took it back to the dealer after work and requested they check the balance.

all 4 wheels were out of balance and 2 of the wheels were over 6oz out of balance. No idea how that makes it out the door of the shop like that. Anyways they balance ( I would've said rebalance but the evidence points to the fact they never did it the first time.)

Truck drives like a dream now. All in all i think this size is well suited to the tacoma and its inherent lack of power. Speedo is ~6% off from gps.

    Fitment-wise:

Falken Wildpeak A/T4W 255/85R16LT on 16x8 +0mm offset KMC SUMMIT wheels.

Doesnt Rub anything except for the front mud-flaps (Only as full lock with moderate compression of Suspension.)
The rub is super super minor. I may need to trim the mud-flaps a tad or use a heat gun and push them back. I see no need to remove them.

On more than one occasion, I've mountain biked with Mickey from Forgotten Rebels. So if I had to stick to one Hamilton punk rock legend, it'd have to be them.

So why did you mount tires at the dealer? Did they have the best price? Because it certainly looks like you got shafted in terms of service & competency.
