:eek:WOW!! I don't think you have to worry about loosening and re-tightening the body mounts after reading this. The broken sway bar is a major issue. That can cause a clunk under certain conditions, let alone premature and uneven tire wear. The right front ball joint missing a screw is a major concern also. I wouldn't drive the taco until you address those issues. There are some major safety concerns there.

You can probably grab the screw at your local dealer quick. It will probably cost a pretty penny.

i got another sway bar on a toyota just like mine thats sittin in my friends junk yard i was gonna try and wait to take the sway bar off then but if you think it should come off now i can try and do it today. the thing abt waitin is he has a huge car lift where you can walk up under the truck and all and its alot easier. if i do it today im gonna have to go roll around in the rocks and shit in my driveway. but if it needs to be done ill do it

ok so i just talked the dealer and the guy i talked to said he didnt see anything abt a screw or whatever he just wanted to sell me a whole new ball joint and here were his prices. the guy at the tire place said all i needed was a screw though. so either he dosent knw whats hes talkin abt or the toyota place wants to make some money!!

    upper ball joint- $45.26
    lower ball joint-$117.27
    bottom $175 labor
    upper $275 labor

It's not a commonly requested item. You could call your local parts stores for shits and giggles. Who knows, they may have one shoved some where?

Just read your other post. Can you get one of your friends taco with the sway bar?

GOOD NEWS!! i took one of the other bolts out of my ball joint and went to the local hardware store and they had a bolt that matched almost perfectly! i screwed it in and it fit nicely! so i got the ball joint problem taken care of!!! :):) now its on to the sway bar, which ive heard from most people that it isnt a "must have" but yeah i can get that sway bar off my friends tacoma. but i went and took a ball joint bolt off of it today and it didnt fit my truck bc i think is like a 1993. so will the sway bar off of it fit my 97?

You may want to consider replaceing that ball joint. Depending how long it was run with it missing a bolt/loose, damage may already have ben done.
