Long story short, I went to uninstall my SumoSprings I had in the front for over 2 years and the welded black piece that is usually stuck to the frame broke off the welds and now just freely spins leaving me incapable of removing the SumoSpring on the drivers side. Any idea what to do in this situation? The plan is to install the OEM bump stop and looks like if I am able to remove this then I will have to instead use a washer and locknut[IMG] for the OEM application

Use a 10-14mm wrench to hold the nut.

    Remove, reattach.

Also, just tackweld it back on

I would advise against JB welding the nut.

Better off using a lock washer or even just blue loctite.

If you know anyone with a mig welder it's quite literally a 5 second fix.

JB Weld will not secure or capture the nut to the frame

Put some PB Blaster on it.
Then follow it with a dousing of seafoam.
Let that sit for about two days.
Come back with a squirt bottle of diesel fuel. Spray it liberally until diesel is everywhere and a large puddle, maybe oh a gallon or two, forms under the vehicle.
Then hit it with an acetylene torch. Heat helps the penetrants penetrate the unimpenetratable.

Once the vehicle is fully engulfed in fire and totally ablaze put one drop - this is the important part - JUST ONE DROP of Marvel Mystery Oil on that nut.

Then call 911 and start filling out insurance paperwork.

Oh and one last thing - it is recommended you do not do this in the garage. Do it in your driveway, or better yet, in a neighbors driveway.
