Initial thoughts, both are good but neither one is great. Surprisingly they both come off a bit thin. IMG_0929.jpg IMG_0928.jpg

Gave this a try again tonight and as was my initial thought, wouldn’t buy it again. Plenty of 10yr bottles at lower price and better drink for my liking. Not sure if I’m off on the profile, and I know 10yr aging may take away from the sweetness, but this bottle just isn’t there for me. I’ll have a fancy decanter afterwards :)

I saw this today and was intrigued. I had so many questions but go no answers from the clerk. I left it and did some digging. I’m pretty positive it’s MGP juice. I found two reviews online and they were vastly different. It was $59.99 so not expensive but not cheap either. Have any of y’all tried this? Thanks

I've had one bottle of rare character and it was fantastic. I have another not yet opened.

Very cool, never seen it before? What's the story behind this brand?

Wife snagged me some Jefferson's Reserve as a Get Well Gift. I was impressed. Old Forrester's line is still my fave but the JR was amazingly great.

I have not tried the toasted barrel yet. Local stores are trying to pass it off as an allocation pick....uhhh...no. Let me know how you like it. I have a number of the single barrels (into C922 at present), and haven't cracked the A123 yet). Let me know what you think. IMHO, Elijah is an absolute bargain for what you get.

EC Toasted Barrel is solid for the $55 MSRP, in my opinion. My local store has been keeping a pile of them on the shelf lately, just picked one up yesterday. That said, I would probably get a Woodford Double Oaked or OF 1910 before I paid a markup for the EC Toasted Barrel.

I’m a big fan of EC. The toasted can be a bit tough to find. I snag them up when I see them. I also snag up the single barrels and barrel proofs. I agree that they are a fantastic value.

I thought I knew of a lot of brands, but honestly this collection has many I never heard of.
