damn... i just got finished soloing some bot missions, testing out that quasar cannon.

 

Tried it, didn't like it, at least not on bots. It might work better on bugs. The machine gun worked well when I could land my shots.

 

hopefully going to try the machine gun tonight. i actually kind of dig the quasar cannon, at least at a distance for any of the heavy bots. still like the anti-materiel rifle and auto-cannon a bit more for bots.

anyone know the level cap on HD2? I thought it was 50 but I guess not.

We need new Stratagems damnit!!

 

They raised it to 150 with the newest update.

 

Along with several other changes.

My PS5 group keeps getting hard crashes at the end of a mission, sometimes at the beginning. We get credit, so that's better than crashing in the middle of things or freezing at mission end and not getting credit.

Same, LOL.

 

I read not to be picking up snowballs on a certain planet . That’s been causing crashes .

 

Yeah, same. I'm usually too busy shooting or running away to notice them. This crash happens right after the extraction animation but before the mission results. Game completely shuts down.

 

I could dive a few rounds; got until 1230 until I can leave anyway to pick up some metal.

Haven't leveled up in awhile anyway, I'm only level 47.

And if you're not dropping them at every cooldown, you're not using them enough.

 

We usually plot a path that puts us passing the exfil about halfway through the mission and use it to drop all collected samples so someone can collect them all and then drop them as one easy to grab bundle in case everything goes pear shaped and we have to split the fire team and send two back to exfil while the other two stay to fight the mission. We also use that time at exfil to drop E-AT’s, supplies, guard dogs, and place turrets up as high as possible. By seeding the location we can play a little looser with the clock knowing that we still have options waiting for us if we get there too late to call in anything else. One friend calls in a walker to leave there which is awesome to pull up on when you’ve got a gang of hunters all trying to take a bite.

With us you will always find a trail of E-AT pylons all over the map as they come so fast and two at a time it’s easy to just toss them down and use them in emergencies that require more firepower but don’t allow time to wait for a new pylon before you get over run.

 

It ends up like that, somewhat, by accident in our groups

Then again I've never played with a "group" since day 1 up until now still

75% of my games are with randoms, with over 20% being solo

 

Dominator and Senator kick A$$ enjoying them both.


Definitely need more guns and strats though...

At least the game gets regular patches and improvements currently level 27!

 

that new automaton defense mission is a fuckton of fun! having them break through wall after wall is anxiety inducing and exhilarating all at the same time. and i don't know if it was a glitch, but a tank got dropshipped on the mountain to the left and was just hammering us for a couple minutes until we realized where it was.
