Looks nice I want to check that out in person!

 

Anyone know of a trustworthy transmission person? My transmission is suddenly having issues the day after I hit 60k and my drivetrain warranty expired. Happy birthday to me.

I’ve already analyzed everything with Techstream, reset learned values and checked fluid level.

The truck chassis used to stand up when I would go into D or R from the wheel torque of the 5.29’s but now nothing. I suspect a possible issue with the toque converter.

I asked Zuk if he knew anyone he trusted and he said no, so not really looking forward to becoming a transmission expert.

Others with 5.29’s; what’s your experience when going into gear from park?

It's got everything! For under 500 bucks I don't think you can go wrong. GPS, Bluetooth, wireless android auto and Apple carplay, front and rear camera capabilities, 4g internet, steering wheel controls, etc etc etc.... and all pretty much plug and play without having to hack into factory wiring. The screen is super clean and the EQ is great. Made the factory speakers sound better! Don't even need to buy pass the parking brake to watch movies while driving. Good built in memory/ ram. You can even get the little thing that plugs into the obd that wirelessly connects to the head unit to display codes and parameters etc....

Well I will wait to hear from you when you get to actually use more than in your driveway

 

That's a nice work space. I wish I could fence off my neighbors and close the gate.

 

It's on the x runner, she gets driven daily.... as for my taco.... yes she's a driveway queen for now.... damnit. At least it's a good looking driveway

 

I struggled with finding a good auto trans shop when doing the 4x4 conversion on my RV. Then I found out about the ATRA or Automatic Transmission Rebuilders Association. ATRA.com Its a legit organization that only the best auto trans shops belong to. I wound up using Automatic Transmission Exchange to fix the shitty work a cheap shop did. also worth noting that a good router that's not from cox can do what mesh would do unless the house is like 3000+sq or made out of brick or something similar that the signal cant pass through well

Update: Justin at desert toy shop, took care of me and got my truck aligned properly. He was able to pull up the 2024 Tacoma alignment specs off the TIS Site so not sure what dealers are doing? Thank you again to XPOTRPR for the contact and everyone else's input!

 

Gotta do a couple more things on the x runner for the lady and then it'll be time to get back to the Black Dahlia

 

Sometimes you can find a generous dealership who will make that right.
