could probably get away with replacing the rack with a double ended hydro setup to get around needing a steering shaft

Yeah I’ll be looking into all of that jazz when I get the engine assembled. At a glance I know I’ll have to notch the pan or cut into the firewall and push the engine up/back. I also know my worstgen has more room than y’all’s bestgens

Smacked a curb with the van the other day, the thing sticks out into traffic, by the Taco Bell on Prospect. Currently trading emails with Risk Management to see if the City will take responsibility for the way it protrudes into traffic. It's black with all the tire marks from other people hitting the thing, and a few hub caps in the bushes.
Off to get the van aligned and see what else it did.

The ongoing saga of wheel bearing replacement. I should just fix my press and make the damn tool. Could have been done by now except I'm basically lazy. I called the library, they do not do bearings.
Dropped off Tuesday morning, said they would be ready Thursday.
Stopped by yesterday, no progress, they had to order the press tool specific for Toyota as they broke the one they made years ago trying to press mine off. They just had the tone rings removed before shit went sideways
They said it will be done today, not holding them to that at all. Not gonna put it together tomorrow anyway with the forecast.

If you feel like rolling your dice with the internet again, those tools are all over ebay for about $60. Or get the nice one for $125 and resell it for $100 after you're done.
