Guy on T4G is claiming he has a TH allocation. His temp VIN checks out for a hybrid. No price yet but he stated a May build date.

Oof, spray in bedliner. No go for me. Toyota's bed molle panels listed as incompatible with that. Going to my dealer to see how that can be avoided. Interesting about the heads up display. Nary a mention for that trim in the reveals.

So weird they are spraying the composite bed. I guess it's probably for traction so you don't need a bed mat.

Totally different truck in terms of specs and capability. The 3rd gen Trail is just a gussied up SR5.

Tailhunter is supposedly an "overlanding" trim. Overlanders don't get all up inside the bed dancing around. They want molle panels on every vertical surface to hang stuff.. just because. I mean what is more interesting, cool stuff hanging or hauling cement bags? And with that, Toyota's bed molle panels are incompatible with that stuff. Some person at the port decides to spray it all over with that easy to apply crap... just because profits. Meanwhile not realizing they missed the profits on mollies. Oof, just oof.

Funny, I typed “Vspec” here few years ago and was flamed.
Something about being a Honda fan.
Toyota has been using the term for years.

We don't? My gear and dogs disagree.

No bed liner was never an issue for my TRD Sport because I had decked drawers although I would have loved for the top of the decked system to be rough like a bedliner so stuff didn't slide around. I overland and I am in the bed all the time. Cannot speak to where I fall in the bell curve of quote overlanders unquote but I love the antislip texture.

Good for you. Can't run that empty and most I see out don't either. If you are dancing around in that space, I wonder if you are related to Peter Dinklage.

This $550 up charge was what confused me. Why is the back window so small and the view out the back so tiny? This bothers me more then the spray liner now that I’ve finally seen one in person.

All 3rd gens are gussied up SR5's. The TE shouldn't even exist. That's why they had the OR. But we live in clown world so we need 16 different irrelevant trims

Aren’t all car models that have trims just gussied up base models? That’s the reason they are base models. The higher the trim the more upgrades it has.

The off-road is inadequate from the factory. That’s why so many owners immediately install lift kits, full skid plates, bumpers and other goodies immediately. What’s wrong with Toyota giving us those actual upgrades from the factory with a warranty? Other manufacturers have been doing it for a long time. Do you want to go back to the good old days where Toyota throws a sticker on the side of the truck, adds a locker, charges more, and calls it a day?

And that’s not even mentioning the substantial differences between trims on the 4g that buyers won’t be able to easily add aftermarket. So many people have their panties in a twist over a limited production halo truck. Some of us are actually glad Toyota is giving us cool trucks from the factory. Ford and GM have been doing it for years.
