I live in the country in part, so I can do whatever I want to do. I personally don't play loud music, but I do like to shoot. I don't shoot every day, all day. Though a couple times a year I have friends over for a range day. On those weekends it gets loud for several hours. I've got a neighbor to the east with a sweet BBQ setup in their back yard. A few times they have had parties that I could hear inside my house 450 yards away. My neighbor to the west has dirt tract race car, with zero mufflers on that bitch. From 400 yards away that has been my alarm clock on a few mornings. So I know we all do things that probably annoy others near us from time to time. I think we all have to realize nobody is going to be quite all the time even in the country. I tend to let these things slide unless they are a constant issue. The only way to avoid it completely is to buy a place surrounded by hundreds of acres instead of yards. I can't afford that at the moment so don't worry about it unless it's a recurring problem that causes me some serious annoyance. If that happens I'll start with talking to the current residents, see if they are reasonable people. Then the owners if the residents are renters, and then the cops if the previous steps didn't solve the issue.

Prices for large parcel, rural residential properties has gotten crazy since the pandemic. Since the ROW BS with my neighbor, my wife and I have been out bid by out of staters coming up here paying cash for properties they probably use for two weeks a year.

They're upity town folks so there's no real reasoning with them. Few people I know know them and they're jackwagons. Sent the owner a text earlier and got no response so about what I expected.

Hardwood floor. I had told Val it was a dangerous rug and somebody was gonna get hurt. It was me. Rug is now in 42 pieces in the trash.

It's difficult to expect much from an homeowner renting out their place. The laws in most places don't give owners much sway in what a tenant does day to day. Even if they are damaging their property they'd likely have to go through the courts to do anything about it. As we've all seen in the news over the last few years, tenants often have more rights than the homeowner, especially in the NE or WC parts of the country. Unless there is a relationship between the owner and tenant, about the best you can hope for is that the owner won't renew their lease with a problem tenant.

Who knows, I might be the bad neighbor all along. No loud music, yard and house is maintained, vehicles clean. That's what it is, my electric pressure washer is too noisy

I'm just gonna sit back and see what the show entails. It happens again I might talk to the other neighbors to see what they think.
