    Hello,

My 1995 Tacoma's heater blower won't turn on now. Years ago I replaced the switch and blower motor. Now I think the wiring harness needs replaced. The socket that plugs into the heater switch is blackened and melted where one of the switch prongs plugs into the socket. Is it possible to buy a wire harness that directly connects the switch to the blower motor and a power supply? Or do I have to buy that whole wire harness that leads to multiple electronic components on the dashboard? I can't find any information on the blower system wiring repair. Is this a repair a less experienced person can carry out or is it time to take it to a professional?
    Thank you for any assistance.

    Welcome to the Forum !!

The cab harness should include the wiring for the heater !

Have you checked for any fuses open?

Hard call to make most likely you might look for the used parts to make things work.

Where you live is always good to know ? Paying Normal Labor rates this could get expensive quick

Are you able to handle any electrical Work ? Do you even have a Multi meter?

If you were close I would be glad to help. Good Luck.

    Bivouac & ControlCar,

    Thank you for your responses.

I have access to a multimeter. I think the cab wiring harness needs to be replace. I was hoping someone would know whether it's possible to buy the part of the wiring harness that applies to just connecting the switch, blower motor, and power source. It would make the replacement job much simpler than replacing the whole wiring harness.

I will try to take a photo of the burnt wire connector tomorrow. I'm starting to think I will have to replace the whole harness.

Have a good evening. Thank you, again.

Why not just replace the connector pigtails if needed, no need to replace the whole harness.

    Dm93,

Thank you for the pigtail suggestion and pdf file. I think I will do the pigtail thing. It seems the best idea.
