Went on a bank run today and saw a green older 1st gen on the side of the road. Checked it out, it's a 98 with 79,000 miles on it, auto on the column, long bed with a bedliner. Body is good, looks like someone sat on the roof (one of those pop it out with your hand dents), has some paint fade on the hood. Tires are good, interior is clean. No radio, bench seat. No rust I could find in or out.

Looked it up on KBB website, they don't show a Tacoma LONG BED in 98? So I used the short bed, in "fair" condition it rates $3025. Called and left the seller a message.

Would love to see her in it!

Nope, says Tacoma right on the side moldings. Digging more details out now. Wish the seller would call me!

Well this is interesting, looking at pictures of the T100, that's the truck. Wonder if the seller stuck Tacoma badges on it for some reason?

KBB for a T100 is 4,000, still not out of her price range.

It's a 98 Tacoma long bed! KBB doesn't list a value for a long bed, but the short bed in "fair" condition is worth about 3100 private party. I called the woman who owns it, it is literally a "one little old lady driven only on Sundays" truck. She wants 3600 for it and says "non negotiable".

It's in pretty good shape, but the bank isn't gonna lend more than book value.

We're hoping it sits for a while and the owner smartens up some.

Good luck with this. I love these Little old Lady deals. My grandmother always took great care of her vehicles.
