Good deal with getting to it, exercise that is. I need to do the same.

Congrats on the 30 year mark! My Wife and I had our 25 yr. last month. I gave her a quarter…… literally.

The quarter is a dated, 1999 as well.

Dang! That was quick. As someone like yourself who has prime year round ride time. Hope the fairings are just as fast.

Haha I don't waste any time when it comes to motorcycles, particularly my own. Also burned through a quarter tank today already in my truck just driving to work and running a couple errands...still need to get home too lol. Time is quite literally money over here.

Already been bummed all day today that I don't get to commute on it. Might have to mix in the R3 for the commute until it's fixed up lol.

:anonymous: I thought about it, but easier to just go.

It was also a test ride for my new pants. Revit Territory. They are pretty good! Had to order a size bigger than i normally wear. Level 2 CE Hip and knee pads included, and ITB.

need to find a jersey next. And not for $40

That bites, but at least it's a buddy that has the means and character to fix it up. Though, were I in his shoes, I'd offer my bike for use in the mean time. I don't want to be responsible for somebody losing bike time!

For a bad day, that's the best motorcycle crash you can have. Nobody hurt, and the only thing that needs to be repaired is the bike itself. Glad your friend is ok.

Now, a question, what is GP shift?

Yeah ultimately for what happened it was best case scenario. I’m sure he’d let me borrow a bike as he has two but I wouldn’t want the potential liability, I can ride the r3 to scratch the itch until the bmw is back up. Hence why I kept it street legal to start lol.

GP shift is reverse shift. Instead of 1 down and the rest up, it’s 1 up and the rest down. Mostly used for track, it makes it a little easier/quicker to upshift coming out of a turn, as you don’t need to worry about ground clearance. I didn’t really need it on the BMW but it was getting a bit confusing since the R3 has it. Some love it, some don’t use it at all. Personal preference really.

Now that I feel better and thinking better I have continued to search for another bike. I have two that I am communicating with. The one is the 2009 fz1 for $3800 with 7000 miles, needs chain, battery, tires , spark plugs and Iam sure a fuel system clean.
The other is a 2000 CBR929rr he is asking 6k but I said $4500 based on what others have sold for and it is actually high book with 17800 miles, Akra exhaust, PC , Scott’s steering damper , 16000 mile service which valve check and plugs were done and newer tires. He said maybe on the price. Just going to wait him out.
One part of me wants the 929 because I had one new in 2000 and regretted selling it. The FZ1 is just practical , cheaper and less miles plus it’s stock so nice and quiet exhaust for longer distances. The 929rr has a rep for electrical gremlins so that’s a crap shoot.
I know for a fact that I will be in shape and have my back strong enough to ride the 929 by summer.

My practical side is saying FZ1 and my inner child is screaming 929. Lol

    lol…..
The guy with the 929 hit me with 5k which is 1k off his asking price. I am sticking hard to the $4500 so we will see what he does next. The guy with the FZ1 was @ $4500 asking and got him down to $3800 but I want to see what the 929 guy does first.

Hoping for better weather this week so I can get my bike out of storage, change the oil, and get at least a little bit of a ride in. :fingerscrossed:
