Working a job in Wyoming in 1979 when the eclipse came by. Passed out the welding lenses to take a peek - but all in all it was like having a really dark thundercloud pass over........ back to work in minutes!

A little something every chance we get.
:pccoffee: Good Morning Porch Pals & Sue! Forecast is 90% overcast, but they sky is actually clearing East to West, and East is the feed. We have a chance. We are about 20 miles outside totality line, but that will be just fine if it keeps clearing. We're not going anywhere.

Over, and over, and over, and over......

Well, it comes and goes. Sun was very visible 15 minutes ago - hazy, but easy to see. Currently....

This is where we are, and what we should "see".

We'll see what we see! The internet is verrrrrryyyyy busy....

Here in my area of New Hampshire, we're going to hit "maximum magnitude" at 3:29 EDT. Right now it is super sunny and bright out.

We're playing tag! Wife got a look at half done, by the time I found it - clouded over. Taking beverages poolside for the dark regardless!

Well, what little came visible could not be seen through eclipse glasses. But I expected more dark! Photocell lights all came on, so basically, dusk. Now the dog thinks he should get fed!

Rains coming. Think I’ll get the trash can done.

Right before the max over here (not total) the clouds thinned a bit and you could see the sliver of the sun without glasses. The clouds were still thick enough though that with the glasses it was almost blacked out.

First partial eclipse since '79, hoping not dead by next one!

Missed it, it was nap time and no darn eclipse is going to interfere with my nap time! :D
Actually, it was pretty cloudy here, probably wouldn't have seen it anyway.

We didn't get much out of the eclipse. I walked across the parking lot when it was about midway through. Not as bright but definitely not too noticeable.

Seemed pretty bright out during the eclipse, but could have been a figment of my imagination :notsure:

I wasn't paying much attention and didn't know the times. On my way home we had cloud cover and thought maybe that was it but it finished and hour and a half earlier. Definitely bright here.
